The creator doesn’t even reply to their backers, and posts infrequent updates.
This is how NOT to run a campaign, even if you’re delayed.

You can post on social media ALL DAY, go on podcasts and criticize, and tear down other creators, but you can’t even communicate with people who gave you their hard earned money, on a regular basis, for a comic book that is almost a year late.

It’s okay to surprise readers. It’s okay to shock them. But you should always be trying to give them something they want MOST of the time, in a way they didn’t predict.
It takes talent. Something Tom doesn’t have, and can no longer recognize.
When it’s been made clear that the goal is to MAKE readers angry, when it is repeatedly shown you hold them in contempt, they eventually walk away. Now they ARE indifferent. And they won’t be back.
