Socialized medicine has tripled Canadian wait times since 1993. 30 weeks from referral to treatment. The state owns the system, bans competition, and forces the sick to suffer due to the backlog of “universal care.” Americans really don’t want this.

As you watch this, just remember that if it was up to Democrats, Elon Musk would be in prison and his money would be seized to fund their NGO’s and DEI pet projects. This would mean an end to all the advancements at his companies. They’d quickly waste the money and target a new wealthy job creator to jail and steal money from. Leftism is the enemy of innovation and human advancement. There’s no single larger threat to our species surviving and advancing than leftist ideology. It’s anti-child, anti-family, anti-innovation, anti-prosperity, anti-tradition, anti-white, anti-liberty, anti-strength and anti-Christian.

VC investors have enabled the AI industry to bastardize revenue reporting. In the 2010s, SaaS companies popularized reporting the metric of Annual Run Rate because it was a reliable measure of long term, contractual revenues into the future. The key is that the revenues are contracted and guaranteed thru the contract life hence why forecasting it forward is appropriate. VCs have taken this to mean Annualized Run Rate when AI is concerned and where you take transactional/API revenue from the last month (or even last week in some cases) and forecast it forward. It’s insane that investors have enabled this to happen but it’s happened.

Trump is not "banning" majors or student loan debt, you lying jounovermin. He is simply making it less lucrative for left-wing universities to rip off idealistic, naive students with six-figure bills for an economically worthless degree. Nothing is "banned." University administrators can still get rich ripping off teenagers, it's just that the federal government will stop guaranteeing such wasteful endeavors.
Trump is banning students majoring in degrees that don’t make enough money from taking out college loans. Degrees for social work, art, religious studies, teaching aides, and music will be hit the hardest. trib.al/NmmAzhf

Only 45 homicides in El Salvador through September 20. Bukele took a falling homicide rate and drove it to near-elimination. No lectures on “root causes.” No “socioeconomic factors”. No prosecutors releasing repeat offenders. No NGOs defending the bottom 1%. The only variable is who stays in prison.

This is an attempt at fixing a serious problem. So many schools charge absurd tuition for degrees that are borderline worthless. The US tax base should not be subsidizing every single degree under the sun. If your 4 year college program is producing graduates that earn less than the *median* salary of someone without a college degree — that’s a terrible look. Is this the best solution? What’s the best solution to this problem? I have no idea but subsidizing virtually all college tuition has lead to absurd price inflation and it’s a genuine problem. We address some of this in our book “Both Sides of The Coin”. Here’s a look at college tuition inflation (and other categories) over the last ~30 years.
This is bad….

Universities loved social justice, DEI, etc. because the more fake problems people promote, the more funding, fake jobs, power, etc. for the parasite admin class AI doom is part of the same hysterical grift package for AI -- it leads to laws to lock out competitors, it creates fake jobs for incompetents and nepos, it attracts nonprofit dollars, enhances prestige, creates new protected classes (omg ur going to fire safety researchers, that's *dangerous*), a new priest class, etc. It's the same grift, the same hysterical register, a new domain with different levers to spread fear to increase power

This chart does not show an agentic bank run; it shows the collapse of cheap funding for banks. This means return on equity for banks will collapse, as it will for brokers like Schwab and IBKR, where idle cash sitting in sweep accounts comprise something like half of their net revenues. Business models built on friction and human laziness will (rightly!) get slaughtered in the coming years. That said, agentic bank runs are another thing entirely, and they will absolutely happen. Remember, SVB was triggered by a fear contagion where all of their customers behaved the same way and triggered a stampede. Agents will be like this, but on steroids. The reason why agents magnify this kind of phenomenon is because AIs have much lower diversity of behavior than humans. This is especially true if we're all using the same model, like if everyone has Muse or Claude optimizing their finances. See examples of this from the Anthropic research piece on multiagent systems. When you have multiple agents coordinating together in a game, you see a lot of bunching of behavior, and very little strategic diversity compared to humans. This means cascading agentic bank runs will likely be more violent and sudden than human ones. The banking system is absolutely not ready for this.
Fascinating. Chief Economist at Apollo: agents could cause a bank run by sweeping household cash into accounts paying 3-5% instead of the 0.1% national average, causing banks to lose a large share of their cheap deposits.

when I was living in Moscow, it was illegal to be intoxicated in public. Anyone who was under the influence would be taken away by the police and fined. Since the USSR, there have been special state "sobering-up stations" for these people. And god forbid you were under the influence of drugs rather than alcohol - you would be registered at a state drug addiction clinic, which meant being stripped of many rights, such as holding a driver's license, owning firearms, or working with heavy machinery, as well as having to visit the clinic monthly for check-ins

I'm sorry to be so direct but if you're prioritizing your career over having a family it's probably the stupidest decision you're making in your life right now. It's not even an either or question! You can have both! Just don't pick a career over having kids.
