On a personal note, it was wonderful to be back in Amsterdam
Last week, Charisse Zeifert attended the World Jewish Congress (WJC) forum in, Amsterdam, Netherlands. She joined leaders from 50 countries to discuss the most significant challenges facing global Jewish communities in the diaspora, including rising antisemitism and demonisation of Zionism. It was particularly interesting to hear how the Australian community - one with such deep ties to ours - are dealing with their reality, post the Bondi-beach terror attack. While many communities are struggling, it was also reassuring that others, such as the Panama Jewish community are growing. Photo: Shahar Azran/WJC

My tribute to Steve Gruzd
“News of the brutal way in which he was killed, and his tragic death, went around the world in days. The loss is being felt widely. People from so many different walks of life have paid tribute to him, with many reaching out to me personally. Steven was both loved and respected. His loss has impacted us all.” - @2JewishZA Charisse Zeifert Read full article in link below share.google/sAcO0mkWAdhou4a…

The Yom Kippur attack on a synagogue in Manchester reminds us just how vulnerable Jewish communities are. Now, as we mark the two-year anniversary of the October 7 massacre, we were honored to have the spiritual guidance of Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth. This prayer for October 7 was written by @chiefrabbi Mirvis and recited by leaders of Jewish communities. Please share with your families, friends, and congregations.
