He knew it better than anyone. He had taken the role of the threat itself so often he could no longer remember all of it.
So he found the most sensible thing to say was, "I'm looking forward to it." He even topped it off with a friendly smile.
He needed to find a new cafe.
What differentiated that morning from all the mornings Blade had lived, however, was the presence of someone that activated his fight or flight instinct. This puzzled him, as he couldn't make sense of 𝘸𝘩𝘺.
It felt as if his body had personally betrayed him by withholding the information he needed. He had seen the man, that was at least what his body told him. But where? That face was somewhere in his memory, but he hadn't managed to pick out which one. / @starxxxed

"ahahaha... What was that?" Akira chuckled despite himself "you're the first one to say that."
For his seven years old mind, having his eyes being compared to a cool rock was the highest compliment ever.
"You're the first one who apologized too," he smiled, "I forgive you."

He saw the tear-streaked face before him and his guilt doubled, but he gently pushed back the bangs that covered those bright, blue eyes.

Kouki was so mesmerized that he held the face in front of him like one would hold a freshly discovered treasure.
Kouki ran as if he couldn’t afford to lose the other, as if doing so would become one of his biggest regrets. From behind, the stranger looked like just another kid his age, maybe too skinny for their own good, with hair Kouki had never seen the likes of before.
He managed to catch up, but instead of stopping, Kouki decided to keep running alongside him.

The refusal to be framed as the bad guy sent him marching toward the stranger, but a snowball hurled at his face stopped him.
He simply brushed the snow off his head. Instead of rising to the provocation, he shot a serious gaze.
