I also decide to directly order an artillery barrage to help cover the withdraw of A Trp's platoons off the eastern slopes. I'm a big fan of tailoring my artillery mission's ammo useage. The defaults work well though.
I want my recon troops moving too, and I don't want them stopping on this move. To stop for them could me being cut off or worse, so I set their SOP accordingly.

The Soviet recon covers the distance quick, and timely fire from the 1 Platoon's Scorpians destroys a BRDM closing in on the SPATGM's. It's time to go and I decide to order the Strikers west to positions overlooking the Innerste River.
Contact comes quick. My Strikers begin the counter-recon fight sniping Soviet BRDM's as they move west.

Deployment - I move B Trp to the eastern treeline on the high ground around the small village of Heimerode overlooking the L500 as it runs its east to west course. To their south A Trp takes up similar positions looking east toward Highway B82 and Weddingen.
I take time to set the SOP's for all my units. I also make sure I set the Default SOP up very specifically for some of these front line units. If they are forced to abandon their current orders and begin to Withdraw I want them to behave a certain way.
It's been too long since I've written up an AAR. Decided to tackle "The Screen", and see how well I could lead the 1st Queens Dragoon Guards in the opening moments of the war.

🇩🇪 The Bundeswehr announced that it is forming its first independent unmanned systems formation. This new regiment will be part of the 10th Panzer Division and reach initial operational status in 2027.
Initially the unit will comprise roughly 300 soldiers, with plans to further grow it to about 600. Capability-wise, the unit will be equipped with Strike drones capable of reaching out at 500 km, electronic warfare, and counter-UAS capabilities.
The primary goal of this formation is to rapidly experiment and establish higher-level UAS capabilities within the Bundeswehr. This concept will also be spread out to the other two divisions of the Bundeswehr if this experiment works out well.
