Also, what I find so ironic about this is that even people who identify as confrontational or non-confrontational have had moments in their lives when they’ve had to be the opposite of what they claim to be. That’s just human nature.

Everyone just assumes they’re better than the next person because they haven’t confronted themselves. You can’t move through life believing that your version of ‘correctness’ is the only one that exists.

Conversations about non-confrontational vs. confrontational people are always so funny. Everyone thinks the other person is toxic, but nobody ever considers that we’re all flawed and that we all just need to work on ourselves and develop better conflict resolution skills. 😭

We should be able to study African history without needing every historical figure to be a hero and every tradition to be morally perfect. History is not a public-relations department.
I feel like I've lost something or got lost in something too big to describe with easy words. So much happened in a short space of time. I don't know where to begin to look for answers so for now I live with questions. Every day I ask new questions and every day

Healing yourself while single is very necessary imo.. but learning to navigate dating using your new boundaries/staying within ur healed self is TOUGH. I had a huge learning curve where it felt like I was moving backwards/falling into old routines w new people
