This is a nepo baby who got wealthy using taxpayer money btw. The last person who should be giving a lecture
Historic Russian lands according to them would include most of Eastern Europe. So Ukraine isn't their only target.
Putin just now according to TASS:
-The territories lost by Kyiv are not "their territory," but historically Russian lands.
-It is inappropriate for Kyiv to talk about any territorial losses. The residents of Donbass and Novorossiya voted to reunite with Russia.
-Russia has informed the United States that it is ready to resume trilateral negotiations on Ukraine.
-It has become clear to everyone that it is impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield.
-Russia does not want to fight with Ukraine; it is Kyiv that wants to fight.
Alliance whose members vote to join vs. a country. WTF is difficult to understand about this?
This is how you know Russia supporters are low IQ. Defensive alliances DO expand as more countries vote to join them. If Russia hadn't already invaded four countries in the past, this wouldn't be an issue. So tired of these retards trying to redefine words.
Claims to be smart... doesn't understand how alliances work. NATO is joined by countries voting to join it, independently of NATO. This is like the bully who picks on a crippled whining because he got friends to back him up.
The "Ukraine should've kept nukes" argument keeps coming up. It misses the entire point.
This was never about nuclear deterrence. This was about NATO expansion. Russia stated their red line clearly in the 1990s. Not Ukrainian independence. Not democracy. The alliance moving to their border. That was always the line. Why is so hard for some to understand this? Or is it because of you accepted this fact your whole narrative would fall apart and you'd have nothing to argue about?
When Ukraine announced publicly they would join NATO, Russia responded exactly how anyone paying attention knew they would. The West isn't stupid. They knew this would happen. I knew this would happen and I consider myself an amateur analyst.
You want to know what gave it away? America left Afghanistan so quickly. Pulled out completely just months before Russia moved into Ukraine leaving billions in weapons and equipment behind (worthy another post). That wasn't random timing. That was preparation. The US knew the Ukraine situation was going to be big. They knew they couldn't afford two major conflicts at once. So they got out of Afghanistan first.
Russia gained nothing from this except protecting future borders and defending the red lines they've stated for 30 years. The question isn't why didn't Ukraine keep nukes. The question is why did the West push this forward knowing exactly how Russia would respond.
