This postcard shows women’s suffrage campaigners determined to get into “the house that man built”. Also in our collection is a photograph of @alisonthewliss. Taken in 2018 for @209women, it highlights the lack of representation for women in @ukparliament. #WomenChangeTheWorld
ALT An illustrated postcard showing 4 suffrage campaigners with "votes for women" flyers. At the bottom of the postcard is lines of verse describing the suffrage campaigners as wanting to end up as members of the house of parliament.
ALT Photographic portrait of MP Alison Thewliss standing in a green and cream stairwell, next to a window that is open just a crack.

Just sat down and read @209Women from cover to cover. A remarkable book, not just in its meaning, the range of photographic portraiture throughout is a joy. Will be using as a teaching aide with my students

Great work by @Alison_McGovern and the art advisory committee to get more female representation on the walls in the @UKParliament. We are proud that our own @acarlestolra and @AliciaPhotos were part of the @209Women initiative to picture female MPs bit.ly/2JHULnU
