SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY CELEBRATION IS HERE!!! But... What even is Super Mario Odyssey Celebration? • SMO Celebration is a 14-Month Celebration of the game and its community • It will be taking place starting TODAY, and last until the game's 10th anniversary in 2027 • We hope to bring together all corners of the Speedrunning Community into one massive celebration! That's cool! But what events will actually be going on? • Our first Main Event is the Annual Any% Tournament, which consists of the Any% Open, Pro-League, and all-new Legacy League! • There will be 9 more Main Events taking place throughout the celebration, which will each be announced at later dates. Make sure to follow this account so you don't miss them! • In addition to our 10 Main Events, there will be over 20 Supporting Events! These could be anything from a Trickjumping Competition to a new BTT Video premiere. You can expect at least one or two supporting events to be announced each month! • People can also host their own events as part of our celebration! You can find more information on how to do so in our discord server! Sounds intriguing... so what exactly is the deal with the Any% Tournament? • The first part of the Any% Tournament is our Legacy League Event! This is a single elimination Tournament which starts on September 12th! It will feature the return of 16 familiar faces who have retired from Any%, including LilKirbs, Samura1man, Vallu, Anto, and more! • The second part of the Any% Tournament is our Annual Any% Open! Anyone can join this tournament, regardless of skill level! Sign-Ups are open now! • The last part of the Any% Tournament is the Annual Pro-League! Taking place in Early 2027, this will be a battle between Odyssey's fastest speedrunners! That's pretty awesome! How can I be involved in the celebration? • The best way to keep up with everything going on in the celebration is to join the official SMO Celebration Discord Server, where you can talk to other members of the community about ongoing events! discord.gg/UhsK6vSjYU • You can also sign up to participate in the Any% Open right now!
