🚨 Fresh violence in Manipur leaves 4 dead protesters take bodies to CM’s residence demanding action
At least four people have been killed in two separate incidents of violence in Manipur, triggering protests in Imphal and disrupting normal activities in parts of the city.
Three villagers were reportedly shot dead while collecting firewood near Khamenlok along the Imphal East–Kangpokpi boundary, while a separate shooting at a musical event claimed another life. Protesters carried two victims’ bodies to Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh’s residence, demanding immediate action as tensions remain high.

🚨China-Pakistan military drills near the Karakoram raise fresh concerns over Siachen
China and Pakistan have launched the Karakoram 2026 joint high-altitude military exercise in Xinjiang, reportedly involving drone warfare, long-range sniping and coordinated command operations.
Former Indian Army Chief General V. P. Malik, who led the Army during the 1999 Kargil War, has warned about the strategic implications for India, stressing the importance of Siachen, enhanced surveillance and monitoring of the Karakoram Highway.
He urged India to strengthen intelligence, ISR capabilities and indigenous defence production amid evolving security challenges along its northern and western borders.

🚨 India seeks nearly $91 million in taxes from Truecaller over transfer pricing dispute
Swedish caller ID company Truecaller expects a potential tax claim of around 900 million Swedish crowns ($90.85 million), including interest, following an Indian tax audit covering financial years 2018–19 to 2023–24.
Indian tax authorities have questioned how revenue was allocated between Truecaller’s group companies. The company disputes the findings and plans to challenge them before India’s tax tribunals and courts.
Truecaller says potential double-taxation relief in Sweden could reduce its net exposure to approximately 550 million Swedish crowns.

The Brutal Killing of the Oppressed Labourer Naseebullah Tori Khel by the Bannu Peace Committee!
Naseebullah, son of Gul Raib Khan, a poor labourer belonging to the Tori Khel tribe from Khankorwam, North Waziristan, worked in Shakardara to earn a lawful livelihood for his family.
He had come home on leave. On his way back, he visited his maternal uncle’s house in Bannu, from where he was allegedly picked up by the Bannu Police Peace Committee.
After being kept at a police station for four days, his body was found hanging near Bannu Degree College No. 1.
A note was also attached to the body, carrying a threat that no one should come near it.
Such brutal treatment of a poor, hardworking young Pashtun man is a blatant violation of the law, humanity, and Pashtun traditions and values.
