I can understand the concept of abundance, but I’m not so sure about universal high income. Even if it existed, surely it would cancel itself out. Like the saying “If everyone is special, no one is”.
I’m skeptical about the inclusion of a single front-facing Lidar helps to fast-track model improvements. I think the Lidar helps Rivian produce a safe hands-free, lane keeping solution quickly which will help with the illusion of progress.
Tesla needs LiDAR for autonomy, say critics (citing Waymo). Rivian announces 1-LiDAR suite—hype ensues. Why believe in Rivian's minimal stack but not Tesla's? 🤷♂️
