To wit; I will no longer twit.
I know I gave up lent for lent, but I'm adding antisocial media, too. And by adding, I mean subtracting.

All those years of programming, gone to waste. --The Luddite
I know I gave up lent for lent, but I'm adding antisocial media, too. And by adding, I mean subtracting.
When I worked on AI decades ago, the Turing Test was difficult, if not near-impossible.
I refuse to join the emoticon devolution, and my God, people... Is sending animated GIFs around really communication?
I also don't type "haha." We can divide most of the world in to "lol"ers, and "haha"ers.
I know I just did, but in general.
I don't say "lol".... _________________________ I don't type "lol" either.
No way! A sphincter says what?
You don't say! (That's what you're supposed to say. It's a call and response thing. When I say "no way!" you say "way!")
But take physics, information theory, mathematics, and biology (to start), and throw in quantum mechanics, entropy, randomness, and mutations, I could believe that a psychic could give me useful advice to avert a catastophe.... But I'll never make an appointment with a psychic!
If we live in a truly deterministic universe, as per Newton's laws of motion, even the psychic's actions are pre-ordained.
Just like physics, philosophy, quantum mechanics, and potential time travel, with psychics it all comes down to determinism versus free will. And with psychicks too.
That's if they can tell me: VBT (Very Bad Thing) is going to happen UNLESS you do PA (Preventative Act).
An *amazing* psychic wouldn't wait for me to come to them, but would come and find me when I need them... Right?
Why would a psychic need me to book an appointment?
I'd like to make something out of nothing.
"Nothing is harder to do than nothing." But doing nothing is everything!

I read /How to Do Nothing: Resisting the Attention Economy/, by Jenny Odell: nytimes.com/2019/04/30/books… Jenny Odell posits that our overscheduled, over-connected world is devoid of true meaning and connections, and that we need to digitally detox, observe, listen, think, & create.
