this is where REA × Kimi K3 starts to get dangerous. reverse engineering usually forces one model to keep too much of the app in context at once. REA changes the shape of the problem first. so the workflow becomes less like “read this codebase” and more like distributed forensics: map the surface → assign narrow investigations → trace relationships → compare findings → reconstruct the architecture the important part is that no single agent needs to understand the whole app. the swarm builds that understanding collectively. that’s what makes REA × K3 interesting to me: reverse engineering stops being limited by how much code one model can hold in its head. full course in the article below ↓

Real iOS 16.5 booting on run Android hardware. HackiOS team claims they got native iOS running on POCO X5 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G Wi-Fi, camera, audio, vibration working in demos. Not a launcher or theme run Ios Custom UEFI + XNU kernel. No public code or installable build yet. Free open release planned if they finish.
WTf, Running real iOS on Android hardware. HackiOS is attempting a full code rewrite to run actual iOS on Android hardware. They’re in the final polishing stage. If it works, the project will be completely free and open no paywalls, no premium tiers.

I think we'll see 5x the number of people become hardware and robotics founders over the next 18 months Why? Because you can rent every step, from design to manufacturing: DESIGN - Astra to drive Blender, FreeCAD, and KiCad the way a person would, so you get editable geometry instead of a dead render. Zoo dot dev's text to CAD API if you want it programmatic. - Or have Claude write build123d code, which is Python parametric CAD, and there's a Claude Code plugin that runs it and exports the STL for you. PROTOTYPE - Bambu A1 mini is $299, P1S around $399 on sale. Or skip owning one, JLC3DP prints and mails it for about $20. PCBWay does resin, SLS, and CNC if plastic won't cut it. ELECTRONICS - KiCad for the board, Astra can drive it. JLCPCB fabricates and assembles, often under $100 for a small run. ESP32 for wifi, Raspberry Pi if it needs a brain. ANYTHING THAT MOVES - Unitree sells a Go2 with a full SDK for about $2,500. - Hugging Face put out a $399 open-source biped. - LeRobot gives you the whole train in sim, deploy to real pipeline, and Physical Intelligence open-sourced π0 so you're fine-tuning instead of starting from zero. - Prototype the policy in MuJoCo or Isaac Lab first. MANUFACTURING - Alibaba RFQ for the first 100 units. Check 1688 to see what the factory actually charges domestically, then negotiate. Pietra or Sourcify if you want someone to handle it. FULFILLMENT AND SELLING - ShipBob or Amazon FBA. Shopify for the store, TikTok Shop for distribution, Kickstarter if you want the money before you build it. How to think about starting your own robotics or hardware company: 1. Pick a niche that's already buying weird gear. Cyclists, tabletop gamers, beekeepers, home baristas, dog people with mobility issues. These groups spend money on specific objects and complain in public about what doesn't exist. Or grab ideas off Ideabrowser.com 2. Go read the complaints. Reddit, IG etc Search "I wish someone made," "does anyone make," and "modified my." That last one is the best signal, because someone already hacked the product together and you're just manufacturing what they built by hand. Also check Etsy!! If 3 sellers are doing a janky 3D printed version with 400 reviews each, the market is validated. 3. Make one. Describe it to Astra or Claude, get the CAD, print it in ugly gray PLA, use it, fix it. 4. Only go to Alibaba or similar once you've sold a few. Message 10 suppliers through RFQ, take the third cheapest, always pay the $50 for a sample before the real order. 5. Film everything from day 1. The first ugly print, the failed version, the box of 100 arriving. That's your entire marketing budget, and hardware is one of the few categories where people actually want to watch the thing get made. 6. Raise the price. Almost everyone here anchors on what the plastic cost. Your customer is comparing you to nothing, because the alternative is the product doesn't exist. Start at 5x COGS and go up. THIS GOAL OF THIS POST IS JUST HERE TO GET YOUR CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING. Of course, you can build robotics/hardware in a bunch of different ways. One thing I've learned is data couldn't be more important when you're building a hardware/robotics startups. These models learn from first person video of a human doing the task, and that footage doesn't exist for almost any job. So basically you pick one repetitive job people quit over, film someone doing it for 2 weeks, fine-tune π0 on that footage, use organic to sell the first few units and figure out scaling, 5 years ago you needed a factory, a supply chain, and a $1M just to find out if anyone wanted the thing. Now, anyone can become a hardware/robitics founder. And I suspect a lot of people will become one! Vibe manufacturers.

Monetization of software is dead now. Anyone can clone your app in few hours, copy your ads, ditto your positioning. I see a new opportunity now. Monetization of SLMs (small language models) You can fine-tune 0.5B to 12B models for specific use cases. Then sell licenses to these models like you do for SaaS. Models like Deepseek v4 pro, GLM 5.3, Kimi k3 or even GPT 6 Astra are really smart at understanding fine tuning jobs. From preparing the dataset, LoRA adapter, to exporting the model as GGUF or MLX, these models can do end-to-end jobs for you. I've fine-tuned 20+ models in last pne year and I'm surprised that not many people on X talk about this. A fine-tuned SLM can beat a SoTA model on specific use cases. That can drop API costs by 95%, make it 5x faster, and its your model, hosted privately. Custom SLM > SaaS now. Dive into this space.

This has sped up my AI coding 20x (prompt at the end): Before building out a big feature, ask ChatGPT 6 Astra to ask you as many questions it needs to fully plan out the idea This is even better than plan mode. plan mode is typically limited to 3 or 4 questions. This is like a super plan mode and makes Astra SO good This has asked me 100+ questions before. Seems like a lot but actually saves you time in the long run The plan it builds will be so detailed and complete that it can basically run autonomously and build the entire thing But here's where you take things to the next level: You also have it take your entire plan and create detailed Linear issues for it It should create 20+ tasks in Linear Then it's as easy as saying "ok work on the next thing" over and over until the feature is done Highly recommend downloading and using Linear if you haven't yet. Amazing project management tool w/ excellent free tier Will basically capture all these details and put your agent on autopilot. It's a 2nd brain. Use this prompt: "I want to build out *describe your feature in detail*. Ask as many questions you need of my to fully understand every detail of what I want to build out. Then take everything you learn, and create super focused and detailed Linear issues. Then begin work" Getting so much more high quality code out with this workflow. You're welcome.

Someone built a free open source ElevenLabs and Wispr Flow in one app that runs on your computer. It's called Voicebox, built by Jamie Pine, and it's sitting at 52,000 stars on GitHub. You feed it a few seconds of audio and it clones the voice. From there you can generate speech in 23 languages across 7 text to speech engines, and you switch engines per generation depending on what you need. The other half is dictation. You hold a hotkey anywhere on your system, talk, release, and on a Mac the text pastes straight into whatever field you had open. A small local model cleans up the ums and false starts before it lands. The part I find most interesting is the agent piece. It ships with an MCP server, so Claude Code or Cursor can talk to you in a voice you cloned when a task finishes. You can pin a different voice to each agent and know who's speaking without looking at the screen. There's also a timeline editor for multi voice conversations, 8 audio effects, and a personality feature that rewrites your text in character before the voice speaks it. Nothing leaves your computer. The models, the voice samples, the recordings, all of it stays local. Voice cloning does real damage in the wrong hands, and the repo ships a responsible use file for that reason. Still, a tool this capable being free and open matters when the alternative is paying a cloud company and handing them your voice.

codex reset just landed, so if you don't want to burn through all your limits immediately, consider following these: 1. use Astra on low/medium - low performs around Sol high - medium is better than Sol at any effort 2. avoid fast mode. it burns through your limits significantly faster (2.5x faster). 3. don't touch ultra/max unless you absolutely need it. high/xhigh should be the ceiling for almost everything. 4. don't keep changing models or effort mid-thread, to avoid messing with caching. 5. minimise sub-agents. don't let Astra spawn a bunch of them unless the task truly benefits from parallel work. 6. use Luna as your default cheap sub-agent for reading, repo exploration, fan-out, mechanical edits, testing, simple fixes, etc. > use Sol medium/high for implementation work that actually needs more intelligence. 7. for separate pieces of work, ask it to create a new thread instead of spawning another sub-agent so you can continue that work later instead of throwing away the context. 8. don't let it overdo testing. for small changes, ask it to run only the relevant tests instead of repeatedly testing/investigating the entire repo. Astra is insanely capable but you can also burn a crazy amount of usage if you are not careful.
Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you Thanks for reading. We will do a global reset of the usage for all paid subscriptions so that you can keep enjoying Astra after burning through all of it doing fun 3D modeling in blender. The work week is about to start. Lands around 6pm PST today.

How to actually use (the new) ChatGPT-Astra-6: 1. Do not use ChatGPT in a browser. 2. Download the ChatGPT app first. 3. You must only use Work or Codex modes. 4. The only best effort for Astra is clearly "Medium". 5. Medium sits at the best intelligence + cost + speed. To make it simpler, go to ChatGPT Work → GPT-6 Astra → Medium. But instead of reading this post. Go to chatgpt.rubenhassid.ai to read my full guide (& the exact prompts) on ChatGPT & Claude. You don't have access to GPT-6 if you are on a free ChatGPT account. You can think of switching from Claude to ChatGPT: > GPT-6 is smarter than Fable-5.1. > GPT-6 is 2x cheaper than Fable-5.1 > And GPT-6 is also 2x faster. Then prompt gpt-6 like this: PROMPT TIP 1. Give it a finish line. "Help me analyze this" has too many gaps to fill. Instead, state what you actually want to get by the end of the session: a ranked list, a spreadsheet, a finished deck. PROMPT TIP 2. Decide which questions it may ask. Astra asks for clarification more than older models (it's a good thing). Clearly tell the decisions that need to be in your input. It handles the rest. PROMPT TIP 3. Tell it what each file is for. Evidence? Template? Style reference? A simple one-liner explanation will save back-and-forth clarifying chat. PROMPT TIP 4. Tell it what readable means. I always add this in my prompts: "Use ASD-STE100." to receive uncomplicated answers. PROMPT TIP 5. Interrupt Astra mid-task with a new instruction. It updates the plan from there & keeps going. Mind you: you can't access GPT-6-Astra on a free tier whatsoever. OpenAI is serving Pro users first, and then Plus users eventually. I read the OpenAI docs, so you don't have to. And then wrote the simplified version of it (with the Claude side too) here: chatgpt.rubenhassid.ai

Secret hack to use GPT-6 Astra even if you hate it. - Open ChatGPT - Select Work - Choose GPT-6 Astra Paste this prompt: “Look at the work I do every week. Go through everything I do on my computer emails, documents, spreadsheets, meetings, messages, reports, research, admin, project management, data entry, follow-ups, scheduling, and any other repetitive work you can access. Find tasks that AI or you can do instead of me. For each task, tell me: - How much time it could save - What tools are needed - What apps I need to connect via MCP - What could go wrong - What still needs human review - The easiest way to test it - Exactly how to set it up Don’t just give me obvious AI ideas. Look for repetitive work, multi-step workflows, copying information between apps, recurring reports, chasing people, updating systems, checking websites, reformatting information, research, meeting follow-ups, and anything else I repeatedly do on my computer. Prompt me to connect any apps you need via MCP so you can understand the work properly. Use any skill, tool, plugin, automation, script, browser action, spreadsheet workflow, or integration that will help you do the work. Go through everything. Then rank the opportunities by biggest time saving, easiest to implement, lowest risk, and highest ROI. At the end, show me the three things AI should take over first and help me set up the first one If you doubt anything or need clarification ask me questions. Now, go do your thing.”
