The 4th race at Keeneland today is a two-year-old filly race on the turf. 12 got in the field and 4 AE’s. 25 horses were excluded. The racing secretary didn’t even rewrite the race. If they are going to hold BC in KY, they need to be willing to properly write ordinary races too.
In the 9th race at Keeneland today 9 of the 10 horses had claims in on them (90%)! Three were eventually voided. 25k horses running for $63k purse. The claim values need to be unilaterally increased. Keep raising them until there is an appropriate supply/demand balance.
I feel terrible for any horse owner that gets on the AE list, but today at Keeneland, Riding The Pine seems like the most appropriate name if you are going to be on the AE list.

My point is claiming used to be about improving horses to make money, not dropping them. It's bad for the horses, and bad for betting. Make the purse the claiming price, or even higher. If you claim a horse, it should be to improve them.
The Weather Channel is so sensational they lose the ability to properly warn folks. At some point people will question everything they say, which is sad.
The Nashville Symphony Top Gun Maverick performance was awesome. Their live instrumental with the movie vocal track gave you goose bumps.

Yes. My research yielded that went right into Belinda’s pocket
After three long days we are thrilled to add this Blame filly to Daytona Stable !! @DaytonaStable
First time I had the opportunity to drive the new Ferrari Testarossa 849. It’s pretty impressive. You can feel the zero to 62 mph 2.3 second acceleration in your stomach.
With all the horse racing Twitter drama recently, I will say I generally agree with Repole’s position on most issues. Should I get a T-shirt printed and rep it at Keeneland next week?
No doubt, Michael is the most deserving in the country for a major track. I remember when Santa Anita switched and claimed Frank was going to interact with the fans more. It seems he stopped tweeting at about that point!
I'm sure it's been said, but cannot state enough how solid @Michael_Wrona is at his craft. Seamless with these calls @KYDownsRacing, well done sir!

Scott and Dave on Fanduel were asking the last time they saw Puype in a dress shirt and tie. Here is suit and tie after winning the G1 Hollywood Starlet with Turbulent Decent. @Scott_Hazelton @icecoldexacta

Michael Wrona needs to be an announcer at a major track.
He is so good.
#14 PLENSA ($26.24) won the $500,000 Tapit Stakes at @KYDownsRacing under jockey @a_concepcion16. George Arnold trains the son of Caravaggio.
I will say that when TVG announced they weren’t going to have live talent covering races, it was a disappointment. But today’s coast-to-coast coverage from Saratoga to Del Mar was so well done by Fox Sports, this may be a blessing in disguise. Bravo to all involved!
I see some folks defending the perpetrator saying things like: “what he did was so easy to do.” I beg to differ. With 4M horses, even in batches of 500, that is 8000 groups of files. Imagine just saving 8000 files let alone interpreting and organizing the ~100 million data fields
