When discussing extraneous solutions and we analyze them graphically, I joke with the Ss and say that one of the algebraic answers looks “sus” because it’s not an intersection on the graph. I love it when they run with the @AmongUs characters on their work. #iteachmath – at Chula Vista, CA

Yesterday we had a @KaganOnline Rally Robin to build fluency on zero product property. Some of the explanations I heard were far better than mine. #iteachmath through structured interactions.

Team Tutorial Session day! Inspired by @AVID4College, each S at the board is tutored by teammates, and get feedback from T before putting into their notes. It’s great to see Ss taking notes from each other instead of the T. #iteachmath & improve Ss math identity.

New TikTok video: Did you know you can subtract left to right?
One of my favorite things to ask kids is "Are you stuck? Or are you thinking?" I do this because it gives them agency in whether or not I support them. Sometimes, kids just need extra time to think--and if we intervene too soon, we diminish their agency.
