Everyone likes to act like our success came out of nowhere and we are just a group of friends who made a team and are magically winning. I came back to competing last year on YFPX because of a connection through a mutual friend to k0rupt and saw an opportunity I could not pass up. A chance at playing at an international LAN. We sadly fell short and placed 2nd in that event and did not have enough points to qualify for LCQ, which was heartbreaking. After this happened, I wanted to ensure that this time around things were different. I ground 400+ hours of ranked the following month and then had the opportunity to join a VCL roster with k0rupt, on ROSE. We eventually ended up picking up Bob as well, and the three of us practiced together as a core of three for 20+ hours a week. On top of our full-time responsibilities, this brought a lot of burnout, and as a result we do not practice. It's not because we don't take this seriously; it's because we already put in the work. While our VCL results may not have been the greatest, we have all been dedicating ourselves to this game every single day, making many sacrifices to show up for one another. It's a shame to see how people villainize us, claiming "we got together just to dominate GC" and acting like we never knew one another before this. Very few people have asked us about our success as a team. It's all been here the whole time.
