Mobile ads are out of control. Every page has a tiny video player now. This is worse than when I fought in the pop up wars.

1Blocker has become the most important app on my iPhone and MacBook Pro. The web is unbearable these days—pilfered with bad and interuptions. It’s basically become Mos Eisley spaceport.

I’ll say it again, scariest prospect about the metaverse is that it actually happens and we transfer the ad hell that the web has become to a new medium without ad blockers.

I've been running the latest version of @1BlockerApp for a while and it's solid – it can now install a local VPN for on-device blocking of in-app trackers. Works great alongside ATT in iOS 14.5, and it doesn't show a permanent VPN icon. Our review: macstories.net/reviews/1bloc…

Making custom rules in @1BlockerApp is addicting. The list of sites I’m blocking all JavaScript in keeps growing. Should be built-in to iOS.

I disabled @1BlockerApp for 5 minutes and quickly realised why people say you need a 12 core Mac Pro to browse the web. 😱 Never again.

Many people don’t know this: long-click/press Reload to temporarily bypass Safari content blockers on the fly. I recommend @1BlockerApp!
