This morning, the French Navy boarded an oil tanker coming from Russia, subject to international sanctions and suspected of flying a false flag.
The operation was conducted on the high seas in the Mediterranean, with the support of several of our allies. It was carried out in strict compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
A judicial investigation has been opened. The vessel has been diverted.
We are determined to uphold international law and to ensure the effective enforcement of sanctions.
The activities of the “shadow fleet” contribute to financing the war of aggression against Ukraine.

The United States is now, much like Russia, uniting Europe. One-time friends of America are recoiling at US threats to invade Greenland. It's even more painful for us Americans who understand that we are the crazy aggressors destroying the world order that we created in 1945.
I have always admired the United States.
As Prime Minister and Secretary General, I considered America the leader of the free world. But following the threats to Greenland, I must now conclude that enough is enough. Europe must defend its interests.

Remarkable speech from @MarkJCarney, urging allies to stop playing along with great-power intimidation. Compliance won’t buy safety, he warns. Stop appeasing bullies. Carney draws applause.
Citing Václav Havel, he says it’s "time for companies and countries to take their signs down." Under communism, ordinary people displayed slogans like "Workers of the world, unite!" even when they didn’t believe them, rituals of compliance meant to avoid trouble. Coercion, Havel argued, wasn’t always enforced through violence, but through quiet, everyday participation in a lie.

“Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.
