Early 90s, Brazil. My dad owned a local drug store. Back then Inflation was so bad he reprinted price tags multiple times a day just to keep up. I remember helping him remove the old price tags and feeling super helpful.
Then one morning, people’s savings were frozen.
Right after Collor took office, one executive order. Little warning. Approved by congress. One day your money was there, the next it wasn't. They said this the drastic anti inflation program, was the the only way out.
A few years later, mom and dad moved to the US looking for stability. We witnessed the 2000s tech implosion with the dot coms, a recession that followed, massive corporate scandals, all fueled by pure greed and speculation, and of course wars.
Then 2008 hit. Housing crashed, friends and family lost everything, banks got bailed out with taxpayer money, and everyday folks were left holding the debt. And yes families were living in car parking lots (this is not a movie)
I had just finished college. It wasn't looking great.
I'm sharing this because we treat financial stability as normal, or tend to forget or take for granted, It's not. We’re still in a state of financial instability.
When someone else controls the money, they can freeze it, print more of it, or protect the big institutions while everyone else pays. If it happened once or twice, it can happen again.
Bitcoin is the first money that doesn’t work that way. It can’t be frozen or printed on demand. That’s the hedge.
To the young gens, we're just getting started. I'll keep supporting anyone building tools that let people earn, stack more sats, and actually use their Bitcoin without giving up control.
The rest is noise. 🟠

You see that tiny little dip at the end of the chart? Now it might not look like much, but don’t want you to underestimate what it actually represents. This is the picture Australia’s GDP per capita going backwards rapidly. It means the economic pie that is Australia is shrinking on a per-person basis. We’re producing less economic output for each Australian. And when that weakness translates into household incomes and living standards, the consequences are very real and very impactful.
It means the family putting less in the supermarket trolley because the weekly shop costs too much, it means the young couple watching their dream of homeownership slipping further and further away. It’s the small business owner working longer hours but struggling to get anywhere and It’s the household that no longer has money left over after paying the mortgage, electricity, insurance and fuel.
It’s the family holiday cancelled, the savings account going backwards and the unexpected bill that suddenly becomes a household crisis. GDP per capita isn’t the same as household income and this chart alone doesn’t prove every one of those pressures. But it is an important warning sign about prosperity. It’s very clear that an economy can “grow” through population increases while economic output per person stagnates or declines. That tiny dip deserves more steadfast attention because economic growth should mean more than simply having more people to draw taxation from. It should mean Australians becoming more prosperous.
This is Australia struggling.

I really believe we are at the early stages of a generational $STX rally
In previous runs the price was largely speculation but now the fundamentals are stronger than ever
→ Clear demand for BTC staking (institutions and 1st caps filled)
→ Direct value accrual to the STX token (price goes up as demand increases)
→ Token gets locked in the process (lowers float)
→ Robust DeFi ecosystem with apps like @ZestProtocol with $ZEST ($180M FDV) and @StackingDao with liquid stBTC, @bitflow etc all growing quickly
→ Clear vision from @muneeb with the Three Frontier Plan for @Stacks
And one thing that is often overlooked is the community
Stacks really is different. People have built here for years, are passionate and stuck to the task which is very rare in crypto nowadays
Battle tested through the downturns, held through multiple cycles and still standing
Time to pay attention to $STX
While $BTC is pulling back, $STX is moving in the opposite direction.
STX has broken out of a long descending wedge and reclaimed the $0.203 and $0.288 levels. Price is now pushing toward $0.476 resistance.
Normally, STX tends to take cues from BTC because it's part of the Bitcoin ecosystem. But when momentum shifts toward Bitcoin DeFi and its Layer 2 narrative, STX can outperform BTC.
Here's what I'm watching👇
A clean break above $0.476 could open the way toward $0.70.
If BTC stays weak while STX holds its breakout, it could get fueled by retailers for higher highs.

Nearly 18 years after the Bitcoin white paper, Bitcoin has survived crashes, skeptics, governments and countless predictions of its death.
At some point, survival itself becomes information. No more time to sit on the sidelines and wait as AI and crypto merge.
Everyone has a Bitcoin story. @natbrunell has written the book to help you begin yours.

Scam alert Guys becareful out here the original handle is @ZestProtocol.
Recently I worked with Waxbones to collate and inscribe all of his personal works on BTC into a comprehensive provenance gallery.
This allows all his works to be indexed as a collection onchain, and tied to his parent, preserving the legacy of these pieces for him and his holders.
This is now indexed directly from BTC as a collection as it should be on ordnet. 🖤

Bessent gets Drucked.
But the bigger story is not just whether 10-year yields “should” be higher.
The bigger story is what the administration is actually doing with the old system breaking from AI.
TGA talk. Buybacks. Repo plumbing. Stablecoins. Japan. Yen intervention.
They are trying to stop the long end from becoming the fiscal disciplinarian.
That matters because the old system is running on human time:
debt, entitlements, taxes, deficits, and Congress.
AI runs on a different clock.
Compute demand is exploding. Agents are coming. Tokenization is becoming the global financial rail. Bitcoin is no longer just a protest asset, it is becoming part of the macro time debate.
This week’s video is about Bessent, Druckenmiller, Warsh, AI compute, tokenization, Ethereum, Solana, and why Bitcoin may be the cleanest signal that the old clock is breaking.
At this point, crypto skeptics do not have to become believers, but if AI is compressing time and the old financial system is still settling in human time, they can no longer afford to stay uneducated.
in 2026, Agentic infrastructure was built. In 2027, agentic activity explodes changing market structure, economic activity and time the way we know it. Be prepared for the disruption.

Some raw notes from Bitcoin Asia in HK:
- The turnout was surprisingly bigger than I expected. People seem optimistic. My guess is the last 2 weeks helped with sentiment.
- Balaji had a great talk where he laid out the case for Bitcoin and Zcash, amongst other things: verifiability in the age of AI is critical. A video of gold in Fort Knox is no longer verifiable; Bitcoin is.
- Early signs of DAT recovery and even interest in new DATs. It makes sense to start these vehicles when prices are low (vs starting at the top).
- Institutional adoption for Bitcoin remains the big trend. The Bitcoin for corporations side event was fully packed. We’re going to see more corporations adopting digital capital. Feels like still early days for this.
- HashKey has turned into a crypto conglomerate with deep institutional roots, exchanges, custody, etc. It was fun speaking at their event and catching up on their growth in the region (expanding into Vietnam, the Middle East, etc.).
- Adoption of stablecoins and KYC’ed lending by TradFi is progressing rapidly in Hong Kong and other regions. Not the cypherpunk dream that we had, but it’s still good to see growth in this audience.
- Met with some Stacks and Bitcoin OGs. The Bitcoin bond model we have resonates quickly with everyone. Interest from institutional clients and BTC OGs is looking strong from Asia (especially China).
Doing a quick dump of raw notes on my flight back. Instead of cleaning them up into a more coherent post.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Spoke at @Bitcoinconfasia today with @adampoulton @JP_Technology about not waiting for top-down adoption, and making Bitcoin productive in pro-tech locations, with lots of Australians in the audience. Felt like a typical @ns breakfast conversation 😄
Next stop: Astana, Kazakhstan – at Wan Chai District, Hong Kong
Respect to a Bitcoin OG and Stacks founder, @muneeb
Great to catch up in the Deal Room at Bitcoin Asia today — not for a photo, but because communities like @StacksAustralia exit because people like Muneeb helped push the idea that Bitcoin could become a foundation for builders.
Builders need capital. Capital needs builders. We’re working on the conduit.

Did you know, if you’re a collector, and an artist or project has become inactive, and you’d like to help protect the provenance for the community of holders, you too can inscribe a provenance gallery?
There was a Gamma Partner Artist who disappeared called ixchel, and later ohsobleu (she was in fact my very first Beyond the Canvas interviewee in fact, before I had proper gear to record it and was definitely a greener interviewer given it was my first one, I ended up doing almost one hundred!) who released a super cool, edgy and bold collection called Bad Bitches.
Art collectors and artists such as @melaniecarstens, @1770 and @Sir_Gadfly own pieces from this collection, and so this provenance gallery ensures they’re tied together as a collection onchain, and can be indexed as such on @ord_net (the collection has been submitted).
I even sent the artist the gallery inscription on the off chance she still has access to, or checks her wallet, you never know, but it’s hers now. 🖤

Owning your audience directly is one of the biggest shifts happening in media. When you build trust over years and people choose to support your work, you’re no longer reliant on algorithms, advertisers or legacy gatekeepers. Congratulations to the Checkonchain team. Building a world-class business from Australia and proving that expertise, consistency and direct relationships with your audience can create real value is an outstanding achievement. Well done, legends 👏🇦🇺

Even Dave Hughes is calling out @AlboMP and @JEChalmers CGT “fairness” con.
A single mum sells her $10k in CommBank shares (doubled) → cops $3,000 tax.
A foreign billionaire makes $100M profit on the same stock → pays $0.
This isn’t fairness. It’s a deliberate war on aspiration that hammers everyday Australian investors, families and retirees while the connected and offshore skate free.
Economic vandalism dressed up as equity. Enough is enough. It must be stopped.
