People are suggesting he should be on the $50 or $100 bill, but I think the $5 bill is a better choice. Much more visibility with a lower denomination, atleast for lowly folks like me who don’t keep a stack of $100’s in their wallets.
The Government of Canada announced that Terry Fox will be featured on the new $5 note. Do you agree? 🇨🇦
The rain is a welcome sight for the wheat and beans, but still could use some more. Dry ground 1” down.
25R29 planted Sept 21 is up, 25R65 planted Sept 22 is not. Guess we’ll see what the emergence difference is.
Spread pattern could use improvement but we’ll work on that.
Forgot to say big thanks to @kowalsk11 and the crew at Brussels Agromart for loaning us the weigh wagon!
Navy bean test plot day! Lots of varieties in the mix with a range of old favourites to newcomers. Suspect we’ll see a 3-4% range in moisture, and 0.5-1 mph range in harvest speed again this year. Stay tuned for results!

Pitter patter! Dark red kidneys coming off this afternoon. Smoother start up vs yr 1 last year
#ontariobeans @OntBeanGrowers
Sure is nice when you can find someone willing to learn a new skill on a whim, and have mutual confidence in getting the job done right. Trained him yesterday, half after dark, and set him loose today after he wrapped up his day job as a plumber.
First day of #plant27, getting some wheat in the ground. Near optimal conditions, if not a touch dry.
Trying out some @PioneerSeedsCA 25R29 to start.
A few days later than I like to begin, but happy to get rolling nonetheless.
Yep. That pretty much sums up the crop conditions around here. Good initial potential then it got ugly 👎🏼

Anyone in #ontag have experience with extremely lodged corn? Thinking if we can find a used corn reel we may have a chance at recovery some of it.
Retweets appreciated
First big day of edible bean harvest at the elevator. Nice quality beans rolling in at 17-18%
After the last 2 years of perfect weather, it’s good to remember that 3-5 days from desiccation to harvest isn’t normal. Often it’s 7-10 days, so be patient and quality will follow!

It’s been a busy morning doing pre-harvest field checks for our growers. Lots are getting close but still plenty of green pods and leaves hanging on for my liking. A few days of sun & patience and we’ll see sprayers rolling on desiccation. #OntAg
It was a great time at the Huron county plowing match yesterday. First time in anyone’s memory the match was hosted in Turnberry Twp, & first time in 30+ yrs that this farm saw a plow.
A few folks found some big stones - sorry about that, and everyone found dry hard ground
Great start to the Spray Smarter day with @HuronSoilCrop . First was @argis2000ltd sharing the Precision Planting Symphony Vision optical sensor, now up is @HjvEquipment & BB Leep PWM system
Big thanks to @mconsitt16 for bringing the Hagie from Brussels Agromart, Matt @HuronTractorLtd for bringing the Deere with See&Spray, and Mike from @drone_spray for showing drone vs ground rig comparisons. Lots of cool tech already here & more coming in the application business!

Have some time Friday afternoon? Join HSCIA for spray tech demos at the Huron County Plowing Match! I will also be there with a resistant weed ID station including Waterhemp and Giant Ragweed samples. Know what you need to watch for!
I don’t usually see ground hog feeding in a straight line the length of the field for anyone who missed the sarcasm. Pretty aggressive spraying by the county/contractors if it went 10’ into the field
I saw some funny looking ground hog feeding next to the road while spraying for spider mites tonight. Coincidentally damage only shows up where the road is higher than the field. Areas where the field is higher than the road look fine. Maybe a bit of overspray by @CountyofBruce?
