A song about inspiration - how it comes suddenly, how it shapes my writing. As with many songs, "Sacred Words" felt like it was written by someone else. I credit that feeling to whichever Muse inspires Stevie Nicks. Her voice guided my poetry. youtu.be/09Qi_ZaWHD4?si=m1C1…

Here's a comedy track. To fully appreciate the humor of "Chicken Leg Strut", you have to imagine Jabba The Hutt's house band from Return Of The Jedi singing it, as I wrote it for the one and only Sy Snootles. youtu.be/yPiApxMgDGg?si=Zfc0…

From the same musical story about a robot discovering his humanity is this Electric Light Orchesta inspired power pop song "Titanium Heart" about the desire to be something more, and find something more deep within ourselves. youtu.be/Q6lLMe9_iyc?si=maJ9…

1987 - Began writing a concept album about a robot discovering his humanity. In "Mainframe Mona Lisa", he gets to explore the thrill of finding love. youtu.be/m2bu_8JFIdY?si=f6wT…

The second song I wrote, in 1984 - "Electronic Lady" - came from a dream, part XANADU part TRON, a glowing roller skater swooped by a lake next to a computerscape city. Ten years later, I wrote it as a virtual reality scene in a novel I was writing. youtu.be/cdMyK9xLzq8?si=WVUd…

A continuation of my song "Hashtag", "Steven Q Everyboy" is encouragement to break out of the cookie cutter mold of trends, be individual and, therefore, better. youtu.be/vZRVqFgzWDk?si=EvUB…

Inspired by a Call Of Duty commercial in 2015, "Hashtag" takes a look at those people whose entire existence is only within a video game, missing out on anything real, and getting empty and meaningless rewards. youtu.be/asmca7lld_A?si=0snE…

Written about events at a place I used to work where someone was always trying to create trouble over the stupidest of things, "Dingo" as a song was inspired by David Bowie's "Let's Dance" album crossed with the sounds of Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music. youtu.be/F0HshRglXxw?si=jJgM…

Inspired by poetry & sounds of Rush, Styx, Heart, Journey, & Mai Yamane, "The Living Green" is a spiritual plea to leave behind non-creativity & reconnecting to nature & inspiration, a real thing that happened to me in 2014 & keeps me going today. youtu.be/qeoz9uZOYe0?si=mWpe…

"Isn’t It" explores feelings of emptiness, isolation, turmoil, loneliness, the inability to let a relationship go. There are questions. Sometimes, no answers. Just things have changed. Stuck in a feeling of not moving on, that's what we do. youtu.be/XcPbT61b900?si=fRfe…

Written in 2010 about memories that haunt places after the loss of someone close, "Bring On The Rain", had it existed years sooner, would have fit Luther Vandross perfectly with its gentle Jazz piano and beautiful saxophone. youtu.be/WGssOToLGwU?si=FJcb…

Combining the feel and poetry of Styx and Rush, "Arrowhead" was written about a piece of moldivite that tore inspiration wide open and connected me to deep truths within myself I was then able to put down into lyrics. youtu.be/KQdPDY41XFI?si=C-ja…

Based on the Umberto Eco novel of the same title and with a musical arrangement inspired by "Rooms On Fire" by Stevie Nicks, "Island Of The Day Before" is a sweeping, epic tale in a land of fantasy at the very edge of time. youtu.be/jtcuTuybx2k?si=9v0N…
