So here’s where we are at….. @The__1958 cannot fight this battle against the owners on their own, that’s plain to see. Unless ALL major supporters groups of MANCHESTER UNITED come together and start singing from the same song sheet then we are totally fucked. It’s a now or never moment in my opinion. it’s time for every supporters club, fan group and offical trust to work towards a greater good. Fuck dialogue with the club, it’s pointless and has been for years. I believe the only way forward is for the FAB and FF to cut the club off with a vote of no confidence. That’s the start. Then…. Let your feet do the talking, however that looks. Any details of protests, be it a walk out, sit in, boycott or whatever the plan may be will be utterly pointless unless everyone supports it. Thats the sad reality here, time to wake the fuck up or…… Enjoy Ratcliffe and the Glazers for the unforeseeable It’s up to you

Carrick is failing and he's certainly not blameless. But there is context. The board failed him in the summer. ALSO ........ Rashford doesn't want to be there. Martinez doesn't want to be there. And there is little doubt there are others who feel the same after the lack of investment in the squad. Then you've players who know their contracts won't be renewed. All of that absolutely destroys a dressing room. Players who don't want to be there alongside others who know they're not wanted. Carrick has his faults but he didn't create this mess.

What has got into Bruno Fernandes? He’s so much better than liking silly reels on Instagram like a moody teenager. Completely understandable that he’s frustrated, and probably sick to his back teeth after giving his best years to a football club on the slide, but he let down Michael Carrick and is now doing an impression of Garnacho on social media #mufc

Since the start of the 2024-25 season, Manchester United have won just 32 Premier League games out of 84. Twelve of those wins came in a 17-game run after Michael Carrick took over last season. Those four months aside, they have been dreadful for two years. They have had two strong spells (one under Erik ten Hag in the middle period of 2022-23, one under Carrick in the second half of last season) in five years. Beyond that, under a succession of managers, there have been long periods of dysfunction, discord and disinterested performances that leave you wondering what on earth this team is meant to look like. And that is a reflection of the club’s ownership, a regime that has taken so much out of United β€” well over Β£1billion ($1.3bn) in interest payments, refinancing costs and bond buybacks to prop up the Glazer family’s ownership after their leveraged takeover 21 years ago. When fans wonder why a club with Β£677.6million revenue has been under pressure to bring down the wage bill, signing second-rate players and leaving gaps in their squad, it is partly because they are still paying a heavy price for years of mistakes in the transfer market and partly because the debt carries such a burden on the club’s finances. Then there is Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who arrived as a minority shareholder in early 2024 and spoke breezily about how he planned to restore Manchester United to greatness with a smart, strategic approach. How’s that going, Sir Jim? If anything, his decision-making has been even worse than that of the previous Glazer-led regime, which is really saying something. πŸ“ @OliverKay πŸ”— nyti.ms/4Bs8GVG

If Manchester United’s players had even a fraction of Michael Carrick’s love for the club, they’d be in the top five.

The Stretford End are making it clear that even if this is the end for Michael Carrick, they know the problems run far deeper. With 15 minutes remaining and their team 3-0 down, they chanted for Carrick β€” and have followed that up with incessant, and deafening, anti-ownership chants at both the Glazer family and Sir Jim Ratcliffe. πŸ“ @reallycerys πŸ”— nyti.ms/3Wtz3uq

Michael Carrick will doubtless pay the price with his job for this deserved defeat to an excellent Bournemouth side and another lifeless display by his Manchester United team. Some of his selections and tactics have been questionable, United were again so open in the centre. But Carrick was not responsible for recruiting Youri Tielemans, who lacks physicality and mobility (and Aston Villa haven’t missed him) and Andrey Santos, a Chelsea reserve.Β  Carrick was not responsible for the board’s damaging failure to strengthen at centre-back and left-back.Β Carrick was not responsible for his main striker Benjamin Sesko being injured and the board’s failure to provide him with cover. Carrick was not responsible for the club he loves being in the grip of co-owners like the Glazers whose priorities are focused more on business than the sport.Β The direction from the top has been negligible, arguably negligent. No real leadership. No expertise. Carrick may be out of his depth but many United fans sang his name during the painful demise to Bournemouth because they know he cares and they know the problems lie elsewhere. The Stretford End again sang in protest at the wretched Glazers. Noticeable that there were few songs in support of Bruno Fernandes. He is supposed to be captain, rallying the players, Footballer of the Year, Player of the Year, not arm-waver of the year, underachieving and complaining. Yet Bruno will be at United longer than Carrick.Β  Carrick was praised for United finishing third last season and getting in the Champions League. But he will doubtless go partly for his own failings and mainly the failings of others. And United will be trapped in this doom loop again. And again until the core problems are addressed in the boardroom - and the Glazers sell up - and flaws in the recruitment department. #MUFC #MUNBOU

Was United limited by PSR during the summer window? I have broken this down several times but I get that not everyone trust me (probably healthy). But @valuball (in cooperation with Kieran Maguire) has a fantastic review of how much each club can spend under the FFP rules. πŸ‘‡ Valuball estimated that United could have spent app. Β£833m more this summer without breaching PSR and app. Β£427m more without breaching UEFA’s Squad Cost Rule. Owners cannot hide behind blaming β€œFFP” rules any longer if they opt to be cheap. πŸ™Œ

#MUFC have a Season Ticket Bereavement Policy. I'm not sure if this is new or updated, but here is a summary of the policy. Following the passing of a Season Ticket holder, Manchester United requires immediate family members, defined as a spouse, partner, child, or sibling, to notify the club by emailing tickets@manutd.co.uk alongside a valid Death Certificate. While there is no rigid deadline beyond the standard season renewal cut-off, families must contact the club before anyone attempts to use the ticket for a fixture. To provide breathing room during a difficult period, the club permits a nominated family member to use the Season Ticket for the remainder of the current campaign, with ticketing staff assisting with ground access. Once the season concludes, the club provides a strict, one-off opportunity to permanently transfer the seat into an immediate family member's name (with grandchildren considered by exception), after which it can be renewed under standard terms. Importantly, any accumulated tenure recognition or loyalty status linked to the original ticket holder is completely reset upon transfer to ensure fairness across the wider fanbase. If the family does not take up this single transfer window, we will not consider any subsequent requests, and the ticket will be released to supporters on the official waiting list. All transfers remain subject to the club’s absolute discretion. tickets.manutd.com/userconte…
