The fund I co-run has taken up an initial position in $HIMS Hims & Hers Health.
Main thesis is that it is a very high-quality growth business (+69% YoY Revenue), with strong competitive advantages, a tremendous track-record of subscriber growth & a solid runway for future growth.
Exceptionally strong profitability & cash-flows (~$200m Free-Cash-Flow in 2024) in the early stages of this business.
The balance sheet is one of the cleanest out there, with ~$230m total Liabilities, versus ~$220m in cash. Absolutely pristine.
However, even for a company that grows its subscriber base at 45% YoY & expands their profitability even more rapidly, we prefer to buy the stock on a discount.
Therefore, this will for now be a relatively small position in the fund, and we are more than excited to add to it on some more weakness in the stock price.

DNO seems to acquire Sval Energi, a Norwegian oil producer currently owned by HitecVision (a private equity firm), for a total enterprise value of USD 1.6 billion.
This valuation seems to be made up out of US$450m cash considerations, as well as US$1.15b debt.

In a disturbing development, on Oct 14th, the former head of Israel's Shin Bet, Ronan Bar, filed a law suit against Netanyahu, alleging the latter had received no less than twenty warnings of the precise character and of the approximate date of the Hamas attack. Formerly, nine warnings were cited in YNet, Ha'aretz and Maariv. It has now become increasingly unreasonable not to suppose that Netanyahu was a complicit actor in the Hamas attack, an organisation he had funded, directly and indirectly, for almost twenty years, and about which he possessed precise internal intelligence. Thus Netanyahu could not only have prevented the attack, but now appears to have been proactively enabling the attack, to manufacture a pretext to ethnically cleanse Gaza, while simultaneously using the attack to disrupt charges supported by three hundred witnesses that Netanyahu had presided over a twenty year reign of corruption, gangster-like coercion, malfeasance and repeated breaches of international law.

Is the tide finally turning? German main stream media is starting to report on Israel’s systematic war crimes in Gaza.
⭕️ Israeli reservist tells Der Spiegel his unit killed Palestinians who approached hidden positions, then logged them as terrorists
The soldier, who spent about 250 days in Gaza, described a procedure his unit often used called “Alman Kasch,” in which troops take up concealed positions in areas that have not been evacuated and open fire on anyone who comes near.
“If Palestinians, who do not know that our soldiers are there, approach, they are shelled. Usually other people come along who want to help, they are also shot at. Within a few minutes, five, six or seven people are killed. The protocol says: seven terrorists eliminated. But no, it’s just seven people who crossed an intersection. Important: We do not kill, we eliminate. That’s how we’ve always phrased it.”
He said his brigade killed 160 to 170 people during more than 80 days in the Netzarim corridor, where “there were no fighting, no attacks by Hamas.”
“Only one man was suspected to carry a gun. No one saw the gun, it was night, and he had something with him that could have been interpreted as a weapon. He was killed about 500 meters north of the corridor, so he was not a direct danger, and we never examined his body. But not only him, but all these dead were reported as terrorists.”
The soldier is one of ten who gave testimony to Der Spiegel.
