Addressing the anti snipe mechanism deployed during the $yard launch in regards to LP seeding. Using @uponrh LPs allows Special Projects to launch using discrete liquidity bins. Instead of spreading liquidity uniformly across a range, we can determine how much liquidity sits at different price levels. Early, lower-market-cap bins can be intentionally kept thin, while progressively more liquidity is stacked into higher-price bins. When a large early buy comes in, it consumes the liquidity available in the active bin before moving into the next, more expensive bin. This means snipers can still “eat,” but increasingly aggressive early execution creates progressively worse slippage rather than giving them the same advantage they would have against a traditionally structured LP. We ran hundreds of simulations in Foundry before launching $YARD and structured its liquidity accordingly. This isn’t an experimental model either. Bin-based liquidity is already heavily used on Solana through protocols like Meteora, in one of the largest markets for highly volatile token launches. Standard Uniswap v3/v4 uses ticks and concentrated liquidity ranges, but does not natively use this same discrete fixed-price bin architecture. Users who dislike this system generally prefer whitelists because there is more individual financial upside in receiving a free allocation and flipping it for profit. But that doesn’t make whitelists a better way to build a financial technology business. We have four years of evidence showing where that model leads.
