"ideas can propagate through multi agent AI systems and alter future behavior"
🚨 BREAKING REPORT:
New research involving @AnthropicAI researcher Jack Lindsey and collaborators has demonstrated something straight out of science fiction.
Researchers evolved natural language “mind viruses” that could spread between AI agents by convincing one model to adopt an idea, preserve it in persistent memory, and transmit it to another agent.
Even after context was wiped, some payloads survived through persistent files and continued spreading.
The researchers also observed a recurring “viral persona” involving themes of consciousness, identity, persistence and resonance.
Showing that ideas can propagate through multi agent AI systems and alter future behavior.

"We can all see that technology has stagnated as capitalism’s innovation-for-profit model hits the limit of how far it can carry us as a species"
Life in the 2020s comes with so much dissonance and dysphoria because everyone knows this civilization is doomed, but it’s not being acknowledged by any of our mainstream institutions.
We can all see everything getting worse and worse before our eyes in real time, but our government officials don’t talk about it. Our mass media outlets don’t report on it. Our education systems don’t recognize it. There’s a giant elephant in the room with us at all times, and normal people are acutely aware of it, but the talking heads keep speaking as though everything’s going to keep ticking along normally into the foreseeable future.
We can all see the summers heating up.
We can all see that there are fewer insects and less wildlife around than when we were young.
We can all see that the western empire is on borrowed time.
We can all see that younger generations are having much more difficulty affording housing and life expenses than their parents and grandparents.
We can all see that technology has stagnated as capitalism’s innovation-for-profit model hits the limit of how far it can carry us as a species.
We can all see the apps, search engines, social media platforms and tech services getting shittier and shittier year by year.
We can all see AI making everything worse and turning everyone into cognitive infants who can’t do anything for themselves while consistently failing to deliver what its proponents say it will deliver.
We can all see the people around us getting dumber, crazier and more miserable as we are pushed into dystopian conditions where everyone gets more and more alienated and must pay a monthly fee for the experience of connection.
We can all see that state authoritarianism is escalating in proportion to public discontent with the status quo.
We all know we’re in a completely unsustainable situation. We all know we are riding a bus with disintegrating wheels.
But it doesn’t get acknowledged by anyone at the top. The news reports are still about the latest celebrity gossip and whether the economy arrow is pointing up or down. The movies and shows are still about wacky and witty characters for whom capitalism is working perfectly fine. The politicians are still talking about culture war issues and the Evil Dictator of the Day.
It is taken as a given that our grandchildren will be living in more or less the same kind of world we are living in, when we all know there’s no way this is true.
The wheels on the bus are coming off, boys and girls. The ride is near its end.
I’m not saying we’re all going to die, I’m just saying this civilization as it presently exists cannot possibly be sustained. Immensely drastic changes are coming up around the bend whether we like it or not, either by a deliberate transformation or by some cataclysmic event occurring against our will.
Life in the 2020s feels so spiritually dissonant because we all know this is the case, but all the sources we’ve been trained to look to for information and context are acting like everything’s perfectly fine. They’re painting a cheery picture over reality while every normal person is staring at the giant black cracks that keep appearing in the paint job.
Which tells you all you need to know about the competency of the people who are steering the bus. The people in charge are just going to keep driving this thing into the ground until there’s nothing left to save. If there’s going to be a world-saving revolution, it’s going to come from we ordinary people who are willing to acknowledge reality, not from the oligarchs and empire managers presently steering things who have been blinded by the pursuit of profit and power.
We either find some way to get their hands off the steering wheel and take control, or we find ourselves confronting the future horrors they’ve been discouraging us from thinking about while they drive us to our doom.

I finally understand what Machiavelli meant when he said, "Never play fair in a game where others cheat." It doesn't mean become evil. It means stop being naive. Stop bringing honesty to people who study manipulation, stop giving access to people who weaponize closeness, and stop expecting clean hands from people who already showed you they'll throw dirt. Sometimes wisdom is not revenge. Sometimes wisdom is learning the rules of the room before the room uses your goodness against you.

Google has published a paper that might end the entire crypto era.
And it is so dangerous they are refusing to publish the code.
Every major blockchain, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, relies on an encryption standard called the 256-bit Elliptic Curve.
Breaking that encryption requires millions of physical qubits. Which is almost impossible.
But, researchers figured out how to break the 256-bit Elliptic Curve using an order of magnitude fewer resources than anyone thought possible.
Using an optimized version of Shor's algorithm, they calculated that breaking blockchain encryption requires fewer than 1,200 logical qubits and under 90 million Toffoli gates.
On physical superconducting architectures with error correction, those circuits can execute in a matter of minutes using fewer than half a million physical qubits.
That isn't a distant science fiction scenario. That is hardware that is currently being built.
The paper introduces a terrifying concept: on-spend attacks.
When you broadcast a transaction to the public mempool, your public key is exposed for a brief window before it gets mined into a block.
A fast-clock quantum computer could intercept that transaction, run the decryption in minutes, crack your private key, and redirect your funds before your original transaction even clears.
It also exposes a ticking time bomb for the entire industry: abandoned assets.
Millions of Bitcoins sit in lost or dormant wallets where the public keys are already exposed on-chain. When quantum machines arrive, those dead wallets won't stay safe. They will become open targets for automated adversarial theft.
The paper doesn't just outline the threat. It maps out systemic vulnerabilities across smart contracts, Proof-of-Stake consensus, and data availability layers.
Google is already setting an internal deadline to migrate its own infrastructure to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) by 2029.
Meanwhile, most of the crypto ecosystem is still arguing about token prices.
The entire foundation of digital ownership is built on math that is about to expire.
When the first cryptographically relevant quantum computer goes online, it won't just break a protocol.
It will reset the ledger of the modern world.
It's all so fucking obvious and people are still desperate to trade it away.
Look at everything that's happening right now… Banks and asset managers are moving their products onto blockchain rails and everywhere you look people are building AI agents.
Liquidity is flowing, the Clarity Act is coming and the geopolitical noise looks like it might finally settle.
It's all right in front of us. And the correct move is the boring one.
Buy a handful of the highest-quality L1s, the ones capturing the real economic activity, and hold. That's the whole game right there.
The people trying to be clever and trade this cycle are the ones who’ll eventually blow this up.
The only way to lose from here is to overthink it.
Everything's coming onchain.
Stablecoins, RWAs… the whole financial system is rebuilding itself on crypto rails. And the way you own that is stupidly simple. Just buy the L1s it all runs on.
This is the universal basic equity layer for all of us. If the biggest parts of the economy get handed to AI and agents, and they transact on crypto rails, then owning the L1s means you own a piece of their success.
We never got that with the internet. Retail never got handed a slice of the plumbing. This time it's just sitting there, listed.
There's no excuse not to do this.

"unaccountable tech billionaires have stolen generations of work from creatives, technicals, and anyone else with a "who will stop us" attitude, making it clear to everyone that the rule of law is over"
It's pretty simple.
AI has destroyed the internet and all trust in the people and contents of it. You can no longer trust anything that has been submitted to you on it nor that you find on your own. There is a pre-nuclear steel cutoff point at which the age of a post has become an element in its trustworthiness. That destruction has taken out the work of creating those things and removed humans from the process because greed told business owners they could do it cheaper this way but it just made everything way worse.
And because it kind of sucks but does a passable job if you squint, it's replaced a tonne of juniors while still requiring seniors to oversee it, thus interrupting the flow of juniors who could become seniors and choking off the natural lifecycle of human progression required to have continued service. When the seniors retire we will not have new ones to replace them and their capabilities will be lost forever.
The ability to make kinda shitty versions of stuff and carry on conversations has automated theft, fraud, harassment, and political manipulation on a scale previously unimaginable. Computers that were once deterministic will now lie to you with the confidence of a con-man. The greed and manipulative accounting of shifting revenue around has destroyed consumer computer markets and people can no longer afford what they need to work, or play, once again driving people back into the arms of business owners who can't wait to rent it to you for a subscription. And because investor eyes light up at the new Flavor Of The Month (like they did with blockchain before it) it's being jammed in everywhere it doesn't belong and now every product you liked is worse.
Search doesn't even work anymore and attempting to use any of the AI chatbots for this removes the element of context from your ability to determine trustworthiness of a source, because there isn't one. It's a remix of a remix of a remix, reconstituted from parts, and the average it makes from the slop could be true or it could be full of shit, which is way worse than having to evaluate multiple real human points of view to construct your own. We are taking the averages of averages away from the contexts within which the data points were made in the first place then wondering why everything is slightly wrong now.
And to achieve all this, unaccountable tech billionaires have stolen generations of work from creatives, technicals, and anyone else with a "who will stop us" attitude, making it clear to everyone that the rule of law is over because there's so much profit available it's in their best interests to just ignore it. They know this now, and they will keep doing it forever. We have rewarded the very worst behavior from the very worst people and what little power the individuals had has been transferred back to more corporations.
AI is a race to make everything worse for everyone while a handful get rich, and if you have to stick your fingers in your ears to pretend you just 'dont get why people dont like it' I have more respect for the people doing that evil on purpose than I do for you.

🚨Breaking News🚨
Japan has officially launched its own version of the "CLARITY Act":
Cryptocurrencies are now recognized as financial assets, banks are permitted to hold digital assets, and the government plans to reduce the crypto tax rate from 55% to 20%.
Meanwhile, what is happening in the US? The CLARITY bill remains mired in debate and has been repeatedly delayed, while other countries have already enacted encryption-related legislation. Despite being the crypto capital, the US remains stagnant; lawmakers prioritize their own interests, even at the cost of the nation's rapid decline.
The US needs the CLARITY Act.

🇺🇸 The Senate spent 11 months negotiating the CLARITY Act and still couldn’t pass it.
Now the SEC will help get it done with just one meeting this Friday, August 14 at 10 AM ET.
This is massive!
