Inside Arbitrum's Strategy for True Interop 🎙️
Ethereum's future depends on interop. Arbitrum’s bet is simple: Solve interop → fix UX.
@0xpibblez joins us to share how Arbitrum is making that vision real.

want to easily track and understand the github activity of @talos_is, an ai-governed onchain treasury that's the talk of ct this week?
now you can on sai! here's what they built yesterday: saisearch.co/feeds/703b7ca3-…

Excited to see the first app incubated by onchain labs live!
@talos_is is a sovereign agentic protocol, built to evolve alongside developments in crypto and ai.

You can instantly identify somebody who joined crypto after 2021 - because they think chains are companies with revenue and token value arising from extracting a take rate.
You can easily tell somebody who joined crypto before 2021 - because they think protocols are open coordination movements that support freedom of economic activity and should minimise agency risk and extraction.

If the next wave is TradFi onboarding + tokenization, @Arbitrum is abt to have the biggest comeback arc with @Robinhood and Ethena/@Securitize launching stock tokens + chains on top
Also they're now going hard at winning degens with Kaito partnership + Onchain Labs incubations

Timeboost is now live on Arbitrum One and Nova.
This new transaction ordering policy allows users to bid for express lane access, which provides faster transaction inclusion while maintaining Arbitrum a private mempool.
Why it matters. 👇

The end goal for our interop solution via the Universal Intents Engine is
- < 3 sec crosschain swaps and transfers across all EVM chains
- Accessible and easy for all developers to implement
- Single click wallet prompt
- Trustless
Ethereum’s UX will be flawless

Ambitious chains must centrally plan their app layer growth machines to proactively enable a thousand flowers to bloom and reactively jump on emerging trends.
Effective app layer growth machines are highly resourced, aggressive, curious, and independent from infra teams.
It's far too early to delegate app layer growth to the market. Imagine if shipping the merge had been "delegated to the market". There would have been no merge. Recent history has proven that app layer growth machines are a tier-1 requirement that need attention and resources at the highest level, just like the technical roadmap.
The ethbtc ratio this cycle has been giving us direct feedback on what happens when we delegate our app layer growth/narrative to the market. The fates of Ethereum as a public institution, Ethereum as a blockchain, and ETH as an asset are irrevocably intertwined and interdependent. The EF spends ~15% of its ETH per year, mostly on the technical roadmap. Great app layer growth causes a much higher ETH price to then better pay for roadmap and research activities.
Two examples of new app layer growth machine orgs for Ethereum are Etherealize and Arbitrum's Onchain Labs.
It's still unfathomably early for the app layer and for crypto's journey to global ubiquity. More and more of our key people are starting to believe in the urgent need for tier-1 investment in app layer growth machines. Seeing this change in action reminds me that the best days are yet to come for Ethereum and ETH.

if you're an onchain user, you're going to love Onchain Labs
we're tired of vapourware, copy/pasta forks and trench mentality. welcome to a new chapter of crypto, where apps are inspired and launches are fair
if you're a cracked builder, Onchain Labs will help you build an app that defines the narrative instead of following it
and all you have to do is reach out
Introducing Onchain Labs, in partnership with @arbitrum.
While we continue to innovate scaling infra, today we also look to empower the Arbitrum app layer. 👇

Listen, folks. @offchain - unbelievable team. Just fantastic. The smartest people, the best people, bringing Ethereum together like never before. I hear they're unifying ALL the chains. ONE Ethereum, NOT many. That's what I told them. Nobody thought it was possible, but we did. We knew
Other people's interop? A disaster. Complete chaos. Bridges? Failing. Fees? Sky-high. Finality taking HOURS—many people saying weeks? Not good. But we came in and said NO MORE
We’ve got the best partners. @EspressoSys? Incredible. @AcrossProtocol? Beautiful. @arbitrum? Stronger than ever. @LayerZero_Core, @Calderaxyz @Polymer_Labs these guys, they know interop better than anybody. Better than the so-called “experts.”
And let me tell you—asset transfers? Used to be a nightmare. Nobody knew where their funds were. But now? You just say what you want—BOOM—solvers do the solving. Fast. Cheap. Beautiful
Other chains? They’re struggling. They don’t have the tech, they don’t have the partners. But we do. And let me tell you, we’re making Ethereum great again. It’s gonna be YUGE
It takes an entire village to unify @ethereum.
We're making it happen with:
@ethereumfndn
@EspressoSys
@LayerZero_Core
@Uniswap
@AcrossProtocol
@chainlink
@Polymer_Labs
@OpenZeppelin
@Calderaxyz
@reservoir0x
@lifiprotocol
@EverclearOrg
@nomial_io
Other L2s, and many more.

shoutout to @0xpibblez & @offchain crew for diving fully in to ethereum-wide interop effort – and committing to solutions in "months not years"
Been great to see many others likewise committing to accelerate the effort
What can the community do to help? Continue to be vocal, point towards the future you want to see, jump in with documentation/explanations etc, and hold us all accountable 🫡
we went with a product-first approach to fixing interop:
if everything exists today to facilitate fast crosschain swaps/transfers, why isn't everybody using it?
we're shipping a package of contracts that will be available to any evm chain, where:
- devs know exactly how to format and publish intents
- solvers know where to look for intents and gain the ability to rebalance quickly in a trustless way
- users get fast, trustless crosschain actions
interop is a public good and it will be live very soon.

Robinhood is doubling down on the fasting growing part of their business $HOOD
$200m for an exchange doing an average of $196m in daily volume over the last year, with what appears to be 1.2m MAU (based off traffic) seems like a solid deal
Robinhood's notional crypto volume is climbing fast with 263% MoM growth - and at this rate I don' think its crazy to think we could see their crypto volumes eclipse equity trading volumes
Today, Bitstamp appears to have around $3bn in assets on the exchange, which would put robinhood with around ~$30bn in Assets Under Custody (AUC) following a successful acquisition (assuming AUC for crypto is relatively similar to Q1 levels given prices are about where they were 3 months ago)
Lastly, a big takeaway here is that the acquisition could potentially open up new trading pairs for robinhood users. Right now, robinhood offers trading for 36 different tokens in Europe and only 15 in the US.
Meanwhile, Bitstamp currently offers 90 different tokens. While robinhood internal compliance will likely put their own lens forward when analyzing which tokens to allow to trade on their platform, this could potentially push robinhood down the crypto rabbithole, allowing them to capturing trading volumes for the longer tail of assets. Adding additional pairs could also further boost volumes for advanced traders.
The push Robinhood is making into crypto shouldn't be ignored at the slighest. It's very realistic to think they could be a top 3 exchange by spot volume soon.
We’re accelerating Robinhood Crypto’s worldwide expansion. Robinhood has officially entered into an agreement to acquire @Bitstamp, a global cryptocurrency exchange with customers across the EU, UK, US and Asia.

🗣️ Next Friday, May 31, the UF will initiate the onchain vote to upgrade the Protocol so that its fee mechanism can reward UNI token holders that have staked and delegated their tokens.
If you are a UNI holder who wants to vote on this proposal, you **must** have your UNI delegated (either to yourself or to a third party) before the vote goes live. If you hold UNI and have not delegated in time, you will not be able to vote.
You can find a third party delegate on @AgoraGovernance at vote.uniswapfoundation.org/v…, or on @tallyxyz at tally.xyz/gov/uniswap/delega…. Both platforms also allow self-delegation.
For more details, check out our forum comment here: gov.uniswap.org/t/temperatur…
