🟦 @Base’s Bridged TVL massively dwarfs its on-chain DeFi TVL: $19.6B vs $4.4B, respectively.
🟦 This disparity confirms that Base is a massive liquidity corridor -- users are moving capital quickly through the chain (or sitting on the sidelines) and not locking their assets into local DeFi protocols.
🟦 This indicates (to me) that Base is evolving as THE pivot point for cross-chain asset flow.
🟦 While Base’s DeFi ecosystem is strong, its real muscle lies in facilitating cross-chain access, onboarding, and eventual reinvestment -- pretty much the @Coinbase effect in motion.
🟥 In other words: the money’s there, it’s just waiting for the right reason to get to work.

Capital is waiting on the sidelines in stablecoins or bluechips. Newer/smaller protocols could see fast inflows once users start hunting yield.
Our job as farmers is to scout for upcoming launches on Base -- early LP positions likely will offer outsized APRs before TVL catches up. These windows close fast.

Burger King has one of the most interesting business strategies in the world.
Why?
Because they set up shop next to their largest competitor: McDonald's. McDonald's invests MILLIONS of dollars annually to pick prime locations - Burger King saves millions building on the plot next door.
@Aave is the McDonald's to my Burger King.
Whether it's @arbitrum, @avax, or @base, I’ve developed a simple rule: I don’t fully commit capital to a new chain until @StaniKulechov's $AAVE launches there.
And this remains true to this day for @BuoyMethod.
