I built a safe gas abstraction system with user controlled passkeys for @EstforKingdom in a few weeks by myself and it's been working for nearly 6 months without issue. And with $S current price it's practically free for our user base (30-40% of sonic daily users btw)
A few apps have proved gasless works. They've also proved it's too expensive.
A proxy wallet per user, a relayer, a signer pool, all run by one app for one app. Leave the front end and you need the gas token again.
Sponsorship shouldn't be infra every team rebuilds. At Sonic, we're working on a native solution to this. Building it one layer down, into the chain itself.
