I honestly believe my two coins to retire on are the following, and they couldn’t be more different.
First is solana:eL5fUxj2J4CiQsmW85k5FG9DvuQjjUoBHoQBi2Kpump. Pure memetic value. I truly believe SOL was built for memes, and when retail comes back in size, they’re going to gravitate toward older coins that have already survived, built a sustained floor, and proved they have a real community behind them. Most people coming back into the market don’t want to ape something that launched yesterday and risk losing everything the second they get in. They’re going to look for something that has history, conviction, and people who never left. I think the older communities will have their day in the sun again, and for me, solana:eL5fUxj2J4CiQsmW85k5FG9DvuQjjUoBHoQBi2Kpump is the one.
My second hold is $NET, @NetNetCap. I’ve said this before, but probably 80% of the people in crypto today never experienced DeFi Summer 2020. They never saw what happens when utility, insane APYs, treasury growth, looping, incentives, and full-circle ecosystems all start working together. That was a completely different type of mania.
What I like about $NET is that they’re taking that old DeFi playbook and mixing it with what matters now. RWAs, treasury growth, gamification, and different ways to keep capital moving inside the ecosystem. To me, it feels like a very good balance between growing the treasury and making the entire thing more sustainable. Everyone loves a chance. Everyone loves a Ponzi. Add gamification and the opportunity to make more inside the ecosystem, and I genuinely think this team may have hit the nail on the head.
Those are the only two positions I’m holding long term where I don’t even question whether I should sell.
