To actually and consistently earn money in financial markets you need to progress from degen to trader. Which means developing good habits, self control and planning. Understanding what goes on in your own head at different phases of a trade. @swing_io is built for this.
Since a bunch of new people just followed me, here's a quick overview of what I'm building at @swing_io. Swing is my attempt to fix the core problem with existing trading apps: namely, that *these apps do not want you to make money*. The problem isn't that they actively want you to lose money. It's that their incentives are completely misaligned with yours. By their nature, trading apps care only about getting you to trade *more*: more often, with more size, across more assets. This incentive is what drives the "gamblification" of trading that we see across platforms and across asset classes. And this trend ultimately hurts users, because the behavior that platforms want you to engage in leads to worse returns. Trading is not a game, and it's not easy. The only way to be consistently profitable is to take it seriously, focus on specific areas where you have an edge, and be disciplined about sizing and risk management. Unfortunately, this approach is the exact opposite of the behavior that makes trading apps money. That means they're going to constantly undermine your ability to trade well in service of their bottom line. Swing is different because it's built from the ground up to encourage you to trade well. It's a decentralized trading competition with multiple layers of incentives that reward the best traders - not just those who post the biggest PnLs, but the ones who perform best by the metrics professional traders are graded on. If this sounds intriguing, DM me or @swing_io with a quick blurb about your trading background and we'll get you an invite code for the private beta.

For me, the easiest way to do this is to run two separate portfolios with different objectives. The first takes spot positions in assets I think are undervalued on a 6-12 month timeframe. Ideally, I'd hold these positions long enough to qualify for long-term capital gains before selling. The second is focused on "inflection" trading. That means that I want to enter positions as close to the start of a trend as possible, and then ride that trend until momentum starts to fade. There's usually a lot of overlap between these two portfolios. After all, the assets most likely to experience a major uptrend are the ones sitting far below their long-term value. But even though the compositions can be similar, the mindsets I apply to each portfolio are very different. In the second, I don't buy things with high risk of short-term downside even if I think they're undervalued. And I don't worry about selling too early - as soon as the momentum of a trend fades, I cut. Both portfolios make money on their own, but together they produce a smoother return. More importantly, they help me strike a better mental balance. Taking profits in the second portfolio after a big move lets me keep holding the same assets in the first, without worrying that I'll panic sell on the next short-term reversal.
This is the spot for crypto where you want to be at max risk. By “max risk” I don’t mean “irresponsibly long”. What I mean is, you should have more risk on at this moment than either one month ago or one month from now. We are likely at the point of maximum R/R for the year. The downtrend that started last October is clearly over, and the refusal of majors to break down on CLARITY failure plus rate hike means we’re probably not getting a chance to buy lower before the next leg up. Plenty of coins are justifiable as long-term investments. However, you shouldn’t plan to just buy and hold them all the way to your final target. You also want to set yourself up to take profits along the way. That means sizing all your favorite positions with a plan to own LESS of them in a few months than you currently do - even though you hope that means leaving money on the table.

The fact Sequoia invested in a wash firm tells you all you need to know about how serious these people are. Either they did the DD and thought FUCKIT or they did not do the DD. I am not sure which is worse for them tbh.

What confuses me is that this stuff is obvious, happens all over crypto, all the time and no one gaf. Open up an explorer, have a look at the data. Then long the fk out of the ones that don’t do this. You’d be surprised how many of your favorite projects partake.

rh stonks are debt receipts issued in Jersey and don’t come under the announcement yesterday. It’s a different product.
If I'm understanding this correctly: A: The existing tokenized stocks on Robinhood aren't the "permissioned" versions that are coming. They likely could be composable though. B: Every single official tokenized stock will trade via a "permissioned pool" onchain. C: Uniswap Permissioned Pools is the obvious choice for every tokenized stock that will be traded on Robinhood Can anyone smart help me understand this better? I might be missing some pieces.
