When you see people saying the Ash’ari view on morality and DCT entail the possibility of lying for God or whatever, know with certainty that they’re larpers who only read secondary literature (if they read anything at all).

DCT can be a hard pill to swallow, but I have yet to see a convincing argument against it that isn’t just a convoluted appeal to emotion. What alternative model of morality remains rationally consistent without compromising God’s will and absolute independence in some way?

On the topic of taklif al-Ghazali writes: “I wish I knew how a reasonable person finds it acceptable to say that there is benefit for mankind in being obligated. The very meaning of benefit negates hardship; and to obligate is precisely to require hardship, which is pain.”
I’ll go one step further: If God is a moral agent, he is the worst of moral agents.

xitter.cf/selfsubsisting/status/… Yet another evidence that those who want to talk a lot about this topic never actually thought about their own arguments for more than 2 seconds. First, because God did command auch things. He commanded al Khidr(a.s.) and Ibrahim(a.s.) to kill innocents.

﴿لَا يُسْأَلُ عَمَّا يَفْعَلُ وَهُمْ يُسْأَلُونَ﴾ [ الأنبياء: 23] According to many people, Allah can actually be questioned about what He does since they posit He must have a purpose in acting in X capacity and the act itself can be judged according to morality.
Replying to @Azhaar3818
It’s far closer to kufr to place bounds, laws, and commands upon our Lord by suggesting what he can and cannot do.
