Rust lets you offload a lot of computation to compile time. @0atman will show you how far you can go with const, macros, and zero-cost abstractions.

🎉Congrats to shuttle.rs on going BETA!
Though they're a sponsor, I've been using them for projects long before my video.
They support all the web frameworks you've heard of, including my absolute favourite: Poem!

What Wikipedia did: we stood strong for our principles and fought to the Supreme Court of Turkey and won. This is what it means to treat freedom of expression as a principle rather than a slogan.

ALT Twitter is a neat illustration of the problem with benevolent dictatorships: they work well, but fail badly. Because they are property - not protocols - they can change hands, and overnight, you get a new, malevolent dictator who wants to retool the system for extraction, rather than collaboration.
