DeJon Jarreau, the point guard leader of Houston's 2021 breakthrough Final Four team, tells @PaperCityMag that Kelvin Sampson making the UH facilities always open to former players helps build on the NBA success of former Coogs. "I take a lot of pride in just being a stepping stone in starting something special here." Jarreau says. "Just to be able to see the program go to great heights and still be able to come here and use all the amenities here. "To still be able to use the gym, the cold tub, come to practice. . . It's a great feeling to still be able to do that. And still be able to have access and still come around and still be a part of it." Jarreau is working on his own game this offseason, hoping for another NBA shot. He's also building up his @lostkaracter clothing line, recently doing his fourth drop of new merchandise. Jarreau tells @PaperCityMag that new guards Corey Hadnot II and Dedan Thomas Jr. stood out to him watching practice. DeJon enjoyed Thomas' lefty game.
