Write short soft sincere daily texts to faraway beloved relatives, small warm greetings carry quiet hidden care and brighten every busy tired ordinary day of their whole lives

I keep hearing stories about primary age children in English schools, 'hating writing'. Why? I know why: because primary school writing has become a matter of jumping through hoops which require you to lever in so-called grammatical features in order to reach the 'expected level'
And I was there to witness it. ‘His armband proved he was a Red’ #YNWA

.@PaulHeatonSolo is a very humble man but the story of the rise of ‘The Housemartins’ and ‘The Beautiful South’ is truly significant to our city. I am proud that my home town is associated with them and them with us. Thanks for banging the ULL drum since 1983. #Weoweyou #HullLegend

The landmark Hillsborough Law legislation has now been passed by MPs in the House of Commons.
We would like to reaffirm our enormous admiration, respect and appreciation for all those who have campaigned for the introduction of the Hillsborough Law. The 97, their families and survivors are forever in our thoughts.

Today, as every day, we remember Diogo Jota and André Silva, who tragically passed away one year ago.
Through immeasurable loss and incalculable pain, the impact they made and the legacies they left behind - not only within the footballing world, but in the hearts and minds of so many around the world - has shone through over the last 12 months.
All of our love, support, thoughts and prayers continue to be with Diogo and André's families, friends and all those whose lives were touched by them.
Forever in our hearts, forever our number 20 ❤️

10 years ago my wife, the mum of our kids & the MP for Batley&Spen was killed by a far right extremist.
At anniversaries I try to be optimistic about the future. But not this time. In the ten years since she was killed we have gone backwards & I fear our democracy is now at risk

Elon Musk could build hospitals. He could fund schools and universities. He could help eradicate diseases.
Instead he uses his wealth to fuel hate.

There's not a single person in Britain who doesn't agree that the death of Henry Nowak was a tragedy, and the way the police handled it was absolutely disgraceful.
There's only one political party, however, who want to take that family's pain and politicise it for their own benefit.
Cannot wait for this!

Brilliant series. So pleased for the boys, my favourites from the start. They are a credit to their parents and especially themselves. Wonderful young men.

Vote Reform all you want…
Just know what you’re voting for as this is what they support:
🔥 Fire & rehire - your boss can sack you and hire you back on LESS pay. Reform wants to keep this legal
🏥 The NHS - are you wanting to pay health insurance every month? Farage literally said he’s open to replacing it with an insurance-based model
Please just pause & think.
