Dear humans around the world:
That thunderclap you just heard came from Gander, Newfoundland.
At 92 years old, Jean Chretien just gave the speech of his life.
With the most memorable, important words of his life.
Because he speaks for what most Canadians are feeling in our stomachs and hearts today, better than anyone else could.
God bless him. God bless Canada.

The UCP government here in Alberta is massively corrupt. Time for a full blown Public Inquiry. Enough is enough.

That now just moved up a level 🤣🤣

Post is fabricated engagement bait. A Google search returns no verified or credible results about these claims, though there are seemingly AI-generated sites that display this and other similar fabrications. google.com/search?q=cher+…

Hearing our premier openly reject progressive policy, while insisting that the government should get out of the “business” of education and health care, should be a clear wake-up call for all Albertans.

Very long line to vote (60+ people). I wish I could attribute this to voter enthusiasm. But it comes down to Elections Calgary being woefully understaffed and disorganized. If voting takes this long, I dread to think how long counting will take. Shameful, really. #yyc

Naheed is right.
One tweet doesn’t make up for a summer of abusing Albertans while being paid handsomely with their tax dollars.
The Premier needs to make this right. #ableg
Last night, Bruce McAllister, the voice of this government, suggested a young student be beaten after daring to ask about education funding and the teachers strike.
This is disgusting behaviour and a tweeted apology is not enough. This is not a one-off — all summer he’s been silencing, belittling, and insulting Albertans he disagrees with.
Danielle Smith must make things right with the young student, starting with an apology of her own, and she needs to fire her second most senior official for his reprehensible conduct and relieve tax payers of his cushy $825K contract.
Alberta’s New Democrats have also been hosting large town halls this summer. We never cut off the microphone, and we welcomed everyone because we genuinely want to hear from citizens.
That’s what governments do.

This is Bruce McAllister. He is paid $200k per year with Alberta tax dollars to insult, belittle, and bully Albertans on behalf of Premier Danielle Smith. He doesn't care what you think, he just wants you to fall in line. #ableg

‼️ Last night, at the UCP “separation” panel: the host suggested spanking a student for asking about the looming teacher strike
Danielle Smith clapped and laughed
And yet somehow, we’re supposed to believe the UCP gives one DAMN about our kids? 🤡

Question; Is it safe to bring kids to the Public Education rally at the Alberta Legislative Building if @McAllisterBruce is working there?
Will he threaten to spank them?

If @PierrePoilievre addresses PM Carney with anything other than his name or title we need to make it clear that we will no longer tolerate his childish name calling. Pierre needs to step up to the plate and demonstrate that he’s serious. Also, we’ve had enough of his theatrics!

This is wonderful.
BUT it also makes me feel sick. Because these people are risking their lives for Canada after Conservative govts in Ontario and Alberta cut firefighters!
How can we accept charity with a straight face after cutting our own firefighters?
