Jay-Z: $2.5 billion. Dame Dash's third of Roc-A-Fella: auctioned for $1 million. Dame says it ended at one dinner, with one sentence from Jay.
He says he'd heard it from L.A. Reid: Jay would take the Def Jam president job, but Dame and Biggs couldn't come with him. Dame didn't believe it. At dinner, he says, Jay told him: "As long as you're around, I can't be looked at as a businessman."
The facts: Jay-Z, Dame Dash and Biggs Burke started Roc-A-Fella in 1995. In 2004 Def Jam bought the rest and made Jay its president. In 2024, Dame's one-third stake went to New York State for $1 million, over $1.7 million in back taxes.
Dame, in the video: "It was more friendship for me and money for him."
The case for Dame: he says every label turned Jay down until they built their own. He ran the business. He thought partners stay partners.
The case for Jay: the songs and the voice were his. He wanted to grow as a businessman. Nobody signs a friendship for life.

Mase went over the potential better artists that could've headlined like Drake Chris Brown or Kanye West but because Jay doesn't like them they aren't considered for the show.
"Who could've done it? Kanye? Drake? Chris Brown? people he don't like. Hov we onto you Hov, you need more people Hov that's what you told me. But I dig it man it's his show, he gets to pick himself he sat with himself and told his self we need to do this show."

Two months before 50 Cent's child support for his oldest son ran out, he walked into a jewelry store and found his son at the counter. He was trading two small diamond chains for a bigger one. "With the money I'm mailing."
In the video below, 50 Cent tells it himself, in 2020.
His son Marquise was 23. "It's not a baby no more, it's a grown man."
For years 50 blamed the boy's mother. "But it's not his mother, it's him." He says his son now poses for photos with the people 50 is at war with.
His explanation is about money. "When you pray for success, you don't necessarily pray for the things that come with it." Entitlement growing in someone you love, he says, is the scariest part. "So while being a privileged child, he feels deprived."
Then the question he keeps asking himself: "How long can you love something that don't love you back?"
"I didn't think success would cost me my firstborn."
Marquise sees it the other way. On an Instagram Live in 2022 he said a father who isn't there "physically and emotionally" still owes him: "I should not want for anything."
Did 50 Cent pay what he owed and owe nothing more, or did he buy his way out of being a father?

After seeing how Fat Joe reacted to Joe Budden sitting behind him at the game, Ak says he was grateful to run into Fat Joe before anybody could catch him sitting in those same seats. 😂

➡️ Joe told Ak that he learned his lesson after 50 Cent once ended up sitting directly in front of him at an event. Since then, he’s made it a rule never to sit in the second row because, according to Joe, your biggest opp might end up sitting right in front of you! 😂

😂 Fat Joe really got his own rules when it comes to these celebrity events! Imagine being so serious about your seating arrangement that you refuse to sit in the second row because your biggest opp might be right in front of you!
