What a beautiful way to start the week! 🙏 These young voices, lifted in praise, remind us of the joy of faith and the hope that inspires us. From nourishing bodies through school feeding to nurturing young spirits, every part of a child’s growth matters. This is the Windle International Uganda way: nourishing bodies, nurturing spirits and empowering young people to thrive. #WindleInternationalUganda #SchoolFeeding #Nutrition

For Esther Ropani of Imvepi Secondary School, a bicycle has made it easier to balance the three-kilometre journey to school with household responsibilities. Her story reflects a wider effort by Windle International Uganda, which has supported learners with over 500 bicycles to help address long and sometimes unsafe journeys to school. Every kilometre made easier is an opportunity to save time and energy for learning. Read Esther’s story: windleuganda.org/esther-ropa… #GirlsEducation

In Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement, adults are returning to the classroom to strengthen their English literacy and communication skills, opening up new opportunities to participate, connect and navigate everyday life with greater confidence. Through our English for Adults Programme, Windle International Uganda is supporting 433 Sudanese refugees at Bidong and Ematong Learning Centres. And the goal goes beyond learning English. It is about helping people communicate, integrate, access employment opportunities and pursue livelihoods and businesses. Because when people can communicate with confidence, more doors can open. #WindleInternationalUganda #EnglishForAdults #Kiryandongo #EducationForAll @UNHCRuganda @Andrewomara2022

What does a new week mean to us? Another child with a chance to learn. Another young person with a chance to build a skill or livelihood. Another opportunity to remove the barriers that stand in the way. That's our Monday. Learning. Earning. Thriving. #WindleInternationalUganda

Today, as the 4th National Special Needs and Inclusive Education Symposium concluded in Tororo, @WindleUganda brought this conversation to life through our work supporting learners who need a different pathway back into education. Our Business Development and Partnerships Lead, @muhamood_kimera , presented “Accelerated Education as an Inclusive Pathway,” highlighting how flexible approaches can help learners who have experienced disrupted schooling to re-enter, catch up and progress. Through our Accelerated Education Programme, implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Sports, we are supporting over-age learners through a compressed curriculum designed to help them cover essential learning within a shorter period. We believe that inclusive education is not about asking every learner to fit into the same pathway. It is about creating pathways that respond to where learners are, and helping them move forward. The symposium may have come to a close, but the work of turning inclusive education from theory into practice continues. #InclusiveEducation #AcceleratedEducation #EducationForAll #RefugeeEducation #WindleUganda #LeaveNoOneBehind #AEP

For young people, a skill can be the beginning of a much bigger journey. Across our programmes, 1,000+ young people accessed vocational, technical and market-relevant training aligned with labour market needs and emerging opportunities. From construction, tailoring and agriculture to hospitality, ICT, electrical installation, welding and other trades, the focus is on skills that can be put to work. Career readiness, workplace preparation, entrepreneurship and exposure to remote and digital work opportunities strengthen the pathway from learning to earning. Because a skill is not the destination, it is what that skill makes possible. A school meal can change more than just a hungry day. For many children, being ready to learn begins with having enough to eat. 54,516 learners continue to be reached through school feeding, while school attendance increased from 84% to 91%. Behind every number is a child better supported in attending, participating, and learning. Discover the story behind the numbers in our 2025 Annual Report: windleuganda.org/wp-content/… #SchoolFeeding #Nutrition #WindleInternationalUganda

Behind every number is a person, a journey and a possibility. A learner finding support to stay in school. A young person gaining skills for the world of work. A community creating better opportunities. Over the coming days, we’ll share some of the stories behind our impact. Through the #WeWorkUG Project in Kampala and Wakiso, young people are gaining practical, market-relevant skills that respond to opportunities in the world of work. From baking and other hands-on training, the focus goes beyond simply acquiring a skill. It is about building competencies that young people can apply, develop and use to pursue employment, enterprise and greater self-reliance. Because a practical skill can be the beginning of something bigger. #TeamEurope #GlobalGateway #SkillsDevelopment #YouthEmployment @EnabelinUganda @EUinUG @Educ_SportsUg @Mglsd_UG @BelgiumInUganda
