We’ve officially chosen this year’s Everyday Champion, though you’ll have to wait a little longer for the full announcement.
There were so many moving nominations this year, each one carrying a story that stayed with us long after we read it, and choosing just one was genuinely difficult. Still, we believe this year’s winner is someone you’ll feel proud to celebrate once we share the news.
Stay tuned — the official reveal is coming in November!

110 flights. One purpose.
No. 2 Whelen Chevrolet pit crew member, Paul Swan, stepped up to the challenge, climbing 110 flights in honor of the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.
Now, the challenge is yours. Climb 110 flights, share who you’re climbing for and challenge someone else to do the same.
Tag your climb with #WeClimbToRemember and #ForThe343 so we can follow along and honor their memory together.

Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001. Time has moved us further from that day, but we will never forget the lives lost—or the people who answered the call to serve in the days that followed.
Among them were Whelen employees who traveled to Ground Zero to do what they could to help. They worked alongside first responders, rigging emergency vehicles with Whelen equipment to help protect the men and women who continued returning to Ground Zero, day after day. They saw a need, showed up, and got to work.
Twenty-five years later, we’re incredibly proud of the Whelen employees who stepped forward in a moment of unimaginable tragedy - and deeply grateful for the first responders whose courage and service brought them there.
We sat down with Brian McDougall and Remo Wilhelm to hear their memories of those days and reflect on Whelen’s small part in supporting those who gave so much. We will never forget.

25 years later, we climb to remember.
Jesse Love is challenging the No. 2 team and others to take on 110 flights in honor of the first responders who answered the call on September 11, 2001.
Now, we’re challenging you to step up. Take on the 110 flights, share your climb and challenge someone else to keep it going using #WeClimbToRemember and #ForThe343.
We’ll take the first step. Will you take the next?
