MASSIVE event on this week in london town!! i am some dear friends will be at the British Museum hosting a big Bayeux Tapestry themed quiz on friday evening!! it will be really good fun with great prizes AND FREE TO ATTEND!! please do come down :)
maybe the funniest part of the bayeux tapestry is when they briefly pause the narrative to show you a guy called wadard who then never shows up again
shout out @readingmuseum
every graphic element (including the dots comprising the dotted lines) is from this edition of C. A. Stothard's drawings of the tapestry

its so important to me that the biggest medieval warhorses were max 14 hands high like the pony on the left and not massive beasts like on the right
idk exactly how tall the horse on the left is but wikipedia said dales ponies are like 14 hh on average so
admittedly some outliers but!
