This is insane.
Look at this chart.
These are American residency programs.
Red = foreign resident doctors.
Grey = Americans.
Some hospitals are almost 100% foreign. A lot of these doctors came in on visas. Some have been tied to fake credentials and USMLE cheating scandals.
I pay the premiums. I wait months to be seen. Taxpayer-funded Medicare GME money(over $21 billion a year) is training these foreign doctors instead of Americans.
And I DO NOT even trust these doctors !

Comparing an H1-B worker to the median American worker across every occupation in the U.S. labor market is not a relevant economic comparison. The relevant comparison is whether an H-1B worker is paid comparably to an American worker in the same occupation, in the same labor market, at a similar level of skill and experience. There is ample evidence that firms, such as those @michaelbd identify, exploit the visa program for labor price arbitrage, disadvantaging similarly situated American workers.

An H-1B visa is not a natural right of businesses. Congress established the visa program by statute. It authorizes employers to hire foreign workers, subject to conditions set by law and regulation that the administration enforces. A commitment to the “demands of the rule of law” extends beyond the H-1B visa program. Federal law prohibits employers from knowingly hiring unauthorized workers. A serious commitment to the rule of law therefore also requires serious worksite enforcement and meaningful sanctions for employers that violate the law.
With all due respect, Mr Vice-President @JDVance, businesses must be free to hire and fire as they need, subject to the demands of the rule of law. Absent that freedom, the dynamism and prosperity that creates jobs in the first place will soon disappear.

The portal can also be used to report STUDENT visa fraud, tourist visa fraud and more
This comes after President Trump AMPED UP anti-H1B fraud with a recent executive order

🚨 ONE OF AMERICA’S EMPLOYMENT-BASED GREEN CARD PATHWAYS JUST WENT FROM APPROVING 19 OUT OF 20 CASES TO DENYING MORE THAN HALF.
EB-2 National Interest Waiver approval rates:
2022: 95%
2023: 83%
2024: 71%
2025: 55%
2026 Q1: 43%
And in one quarter last year, approvals fell to just 36%.
NIW is particularly interesting because applicants can self-petition and bypass the normal PERM labor certification process if their work is deemed to be in the national interest.
At the same time, applications exploded:
~22,000 in FY2022
~66,000 in FY2025
Roughly TRIPLE.
So what happened?
Did USCIS dramatically tighten adjudication?
Did the explosion in applications bring in far more weak cases?
Or both?
Either way, a green card pathway that approved roughly 19 out of every 20 decided petitions four years ago is now denying more than it approves.

Oh, CenterPoint Energy.
The same utility whose system saw nearly 2.3 MILLION Houston-area customers lose power during Hurricane Beryl.
The same company whose CEO, Jason Wells, received $12.1 MILLION in compensation last year.
The same company that is now in the news over a customer data leak.
So I went looking. (Not that I needed to)
In just the FY2026 Q3 federal H-1B disclosure data, I found:
46 LCA records naming CenterPoint as the secondary employer/end client.
Those 46 filings came through 29 different outside employers.
38 list CenterPoint’s 1111 Louisiana Street headquarters in Houston as the worksite.
45 were certified.
1 was certified and later withdrawn.
Now look at some of the jobs:
• Security Analyst
• Information Security Engineer
• Information Security Analyst
• Associate Analyst – Information Security
• Software Developers
• Database Administrators
• Data Scientists
• Systems Administrators
• SAP consultants
Yes, you read that correctly.
The company now making headlines over customer data had H-1B contractor filings for information-security personnel sitting in the same federal data.
And this isn’t some decade-long total.
This is ONE FY2026 disclosure file, through June 30.
The contractor names include Cognizant, Compunnel, Ernst & Young, Resolve Tech, Pioneer Tek, Zeus Solutions and dozens more.
So, CenterPoint can look like it barely sponsors H-1Bs itself while an entire layer of outside staffing and consulting firms files visa paperwork naming CenterPoint as the actual end client.
After Beryl, Houstonians were told to demand accountability for the grid.
After this latest data story, maybe we should also demand accountability for who is actually operating the technology behind one of Texas’s most critical utilities.

This evening the White House issued an executive order, "Enhancing Program Integrity and Interagency Coordination in the Administration of the H-1B Nonimmigrant Visa Program." The order asserts there is "large-scale, systematic abuse" of the program by certain employers, placement groups, and outsourcing firms seeking lower-paid, lower-skilled foreign labor. It then directs State, Labor, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to coordinate with Commerce, Education, and Small Business Administration to ensure H-1B filings comply with INA §§ 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b), 212(n), 214(i), and 274B. It also instructs those agencies to weigh employer layoffs affecting similarly situated U.S. workers when handling H-1B filings. In addition, it orders Department of Labor (DOL) to begin reviewing past LCAs for possible enforcement action within 30 days, and delegates the President's § 215(a) entry authority to the various agencies.
Directing several agencies to coordinate the weighing of an employer's recent or planned layoffs affecting American workers when handling LCAs, petitions, visas and giving them the authority to act could prove to be a very helpful at a time of so many layoffs.

🚨 UC BERKELEY IS SEEKING AN H-1B WORKER FOR AN ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITMENT JOB PAYING $110,250 A YEAR.
Read that again.
Not AI.
Not quantum computing.
Not some highly specialized engineering position.
ADMISSIONS AND RECRUITMENT.
According to a newly uncovered filing, UC Berkeley sought H-1B employment for an:
“Admissions/Recruitment Specialist 3”
Salary: $110,250
And this isn’t an isolated filing.
The report says USCIS data shows 1,069 H-1B beneficiaries approved for UC Berkeley since FY2020.
DOL data also reportedly shows Berkeley filed 216 LCAs in 2025 alone.
Those positions included:
Assistant field hockey coach.
Assistant tennis coach.
Academic coordinator.
Public engagement executive.
Academic program manager.
And now admissions and recruitment.
H-1B is supposed to help employers access specialized talent they cannot otherwise find.
So here’s a very simple question for UC Berkeley:
You couldn’t find an American qualified to recruit students for $110,250 a year?
