At today’s G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, I made clear that maritime and food security drive economic security. Through our America First agenda, the United States is encouraging partners to protect shipping routes, strengthen food security, and reduce the economic consequences of geopolitical crises.

From Yorkshire to Hollywood, Sir Patrick Stewart became an icon on both sides of the Atlantic. As Captain Picard reminded us: “What we leave behind is not as important as how we’ve lived.” His life touched millions around the world, and we join them in mourning his passing.

Good to speak with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care @YvetteCooperMP. The U.S.-UK pharmaceutical deal is delivering - driving investment and expanding NHS access to life-saving medicines. There is much more to do, and I look forward to building on this progress for the benefit of both our countries.

A welcome coincidence that my first meeting with Prime Minister @AndyBurnham was on his 100th day. We discussed a wide range of topics including the economic benefits of Super Intelligence and the vital AUKUS initiative essential to global security to protect against our adversaries. I am encouraged by the PM’s commitment to the U.S.-UK partnership and his true belief in and full understanding of the special relationship between our countries. I look forward to working with him and his administration going forward.

I regularly meet with MPs from across Parliament to share ideas on how we can build on our enduring partnership. Today I met with Shadow Foreign Secretary @TomTugendhat to discuss how the U.S. and UK can work side by side to strengthen our security, promote peace, and address challenges around the world.

I welcome the UK's announcement that it has accepted all 27 recommendations. Now, the challenge lies in implementation and enforcement.
Antisemitism is a scourge on society and we are committed to stamping it out. We’ve accepted all 27 recommendations of the Bell Review, including encouraging schools and colleges to adopt the IHRA Working Definition. We will continue to promote its adoption internationally.

Energy security means taking charge of your own energy. I welcome the UK moving forward with Jackdaw and hope approval for Rosebank follows. Developing Britain’s own North Sea resources supports UK businesses and its people. A stronger, more secure UK energy sector benefits us all.

The UK is an important market for American rice, with farmers and processors around the United States producing high-quality rice for consumers here. I welcomed rice producers from Arkansas, Louisiana, and California who are in London to strengthen connections with British buyers and create new opportunities for U.S. rice exports.

This month, the Maritime Big Play exercise series is bringing together government and industry experts from the U.S., UK, and Australia to test, integrate, and refine uncrewed and autonomous maritime systems. These new technologies will help deliver on the AUKUS alliance's promise of using new technologies to deter conflict and maintain our strategic military advantage.
