Every sound has a decibel rating. Many concerts and sporting events reach around 90-100 dB, and loud rock concerts reach 100-110 dB. Experts consider prolonged exposure above 85 dB potentially harmful to hearing. The louder the sound, the less time it takes for damage to occur.
