As the sun goes down and the lights come on, Alton Towers takes on a different kind of magic. With just over a week left of Scarefest and three days of Fireworks Spectacular, do you have any plans to visit Alton Towers in the dark?

Across the Altonverse has been announced as the name of this year's @altontowers Fireworks Spectacular! On 6th-8th November, spectators will join the Alton Society of Invention and Exploration as they journey through extraordinary worlds, legendary stories & fantastical realms 🎆
Did you experience Zombies! Scare Zone? 🧟♂️
Opening in 2011 near Goalstriker before moving in 2012 to the back-of-house path between what is now Oak in Chains and Edge of the Forest, this free-flow scare zone terrorised guests until closing in 2014!

From 2016 to 2019, the maze featured helmets with lights that flickered and changed as you ventured through the maze.

We love these new pumpkin decorations located between Mutiny Bay and The Towers. Only complaint? There aren’t more lamp posts to add them to! 🎃
Family walkthroughs Amigos in the Afterlife and Trick O’ Treat Town are both back for Scarefest 2026, with no notable changes to the experiences.
(1/2) Cargo Global Eats has returned in a new location, this time in the area between Fountain Square and The Burger Kitchen, with the latter also being used as an area of indoor seating.
Ever since the debut of Nemesis Reborn at Alton Towers in 2024, many have wondered when the Nemesis hole at Extraordinary Golf would undergo a corresponding transformation - well the wait is finally over!
