"...the software was created by training on the life’s work of countless artists without consultation, compensation, or credit." Not exactly. AI learns patterns from that work, it doesn't "copy" the artwork directly or indirectly. The same way a human uses other artworks.

OK… Listen up assholes… Just because something “looks good” doesn’t make it any less wrong. “Quality” has never truly been the primary issue of #AI generated imagery. The issue always has been and always will be that the software was created by training on the life’s work of countless artists without consultation, compensation, or credit. The day will come when AI will be able to fool even the staunchest, snobbiest, gatekeeping-est art connoisseurs. None of that will change the fact that the genie is out of the bottle, the toothpaste is out of the tube, the software was built on theft. Contrary to many with whom I hold similar opinions, I do not wish to see AI banned or even regulated. It’s too late for that. It’s the most we can hope for is to educate people enough to appoint where it is simply a thing that exists in society, but one that those of us with morals and ethics reject. Like spitting on the sidewalk.

Artists get criticized if they also make a character that is too close to another. wtf are you talking about also the AI video literally had this the AI isnt referencing or paying Homage (thats a human only ability) its getting this because the art was fed into its data.

Familiar character design is only a problem when AI does it. Traditional artists can borrow, reference, reinterpret and pay homage. AI is expected to invent a new civilization for every image it generates.

This just stole art and also a character design from the studio Cartoon Saloon with the kid with the ice cream being a direct copy of Ben from Song of the Sea. Instead of being lazy and using a robot that's ruining our earth learn how to actually draw and animate. AI slop.
