Apparently I have a history of not being able to sleep the day before Easter. 11 years ago, still awake at 4a. This year, woke up at 1a because of rain, 4a because of smoke alarm batteries needing to be changed. But it has been a wonderful day nonetheless!
Congratulations to Lord Patten of Barnes, the last governor of HK, being appointed Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter by King Charles III.
Don’t mistake under-preparedness as “flexibility”, organization as “rigidness”. It is only in being prepared can one make flexible decisions with wisdom; not due to limitations.
God had a plan before the beginning of time. I’d like to think I learned a thing or 2 from my baba.
Date night with delicious dinner and ‘The Book of Mormon’. Big thanks to house manager Pat for helping us secure these fourth row seats!!! And even bigger thanks to uncle Morgan for watching the children. ❤️
More box water!!! Four times in a month that is 8 trees! #betterplanet On average, one tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year. Eight mature trees can provide enough oxygen for four families of four!
We’re here! My 40th birthday. This day in it of itself is not magical, but it was soooo magical. Pearl Harbor memorial, swam with sea turtles, Diamond Head and a fancy dinner. Thank you Lord for being so good to me, it baffles me how much You care. Nothing but praise!
T-1: Lenard’s for breakfast. Rode the Pineapple Express, survived the worlds largest maze and had Dole Whip at the plantation. Visited the famous waves of North shore and had made-to-order udon. Not bd for last day of 39 :)
T-3: what a day! LAX to HNL. In 16 hours, Jocelyn lost a tooth at 30,000 feet, Jacen earned wings for his first flight, we explored the resort and walked a night market. Thank you God for giving us this opportunity to make memories and enjoy your creation!
MORE! Learning hula upon arrival, Musubi Cafe dinner, exhausted at an IHOP lobby and 3rd Box Water in 20 days, this time curtesy of Alaska Air. Go plant 2 more trees. Mahalo!#betterplanet
T-3: the kids had a 16-hour day. From LAX to HNL. Jocelyn lost a tooth at 30,000 feet and Jacen earned his wings flying for the first time. Thank you God for giving us this opportunity to be in Hawaii. You’re a good good Father.
T-4: An emotion and busy day. Lots of honest conversations about work, finishing tasks while preparing for the trip. Had a talk about menstruation with Jacen—he really got it. Celebrated birthdays with the family at night.
T-5: Date day with the children. Trying to stay strong emotionally while trying to make sense of everything that’s happening this week. Seeking God’s guidance…
T-6: My mind is blown. What a day! God cares about all things big & small—Thank You for being mindful of me. *tear* Period starts before Hawaii, changes at work, meeting with Rancho XP, 1st Worship Arts team meeting in 8-hr span. Learning to trust more through this experience.
T-7: Who stayed up until midnight for the Love is Blind finale? It was me. Then I worked for 10 hours—lots of music-related meetings. Came home and watched the Zootopia shorts with Justin.
T-8: Look at me being socially and ecologically responsible! Drove in the rain to vote & to an advanced screening of the Crown. Had my second box water in a month. Go plant some trees on behalf of QEII #BetterPlanet ! Thank you @EricHolmstrom for watching the kids while we play!
