I just finished a 1 year contract shooting PR material for the Tokyo Met Government. I covered everything from temples to theme parks, museums to matsuri. Here I'd like to present 50 of my favourite locations from the project, hopefully inspiring some of you to visit them!

Ryuichi Sakamoto asked Tokyo governor Koike not to sacrifice the precious trees of Jingu that our ancestors spent 100 years protecting and nurturing just for quick economic gain. I fully support him, but I didn't realize that these were his last public words.

On n'émancipe pas les gens en les mettant au garde-à-vous, on ne devient pas citoyen en marchant au pas. Cessez de gaspiller l'argent public en préparant le terrain au fascisme. Redonnez-le à l'éducation.

I am visiting my Americans colleagues for the week. And for the past three days, my breakfast view has been this one. 🤩 #nyc

I've debated for a long time about being public with this, bc it's heavy & I still haven't come to terms with it. But I have a rare pre-COVID datapoint so will do it, hoping it helps people: Right before I got COVID, I did neuro testing to see if I had ADHD. 1/ #LongCovid

Thankyou to everyone who has messaged me about my "goodbye" piece to Japan. The response has been truly overwhelming. I'm very gratified so many of you think i got it about right. bbc.com/news/world-asia-6383…

I completely agree with this thread. This is a bad bug fixing strategy for either open/closed source. It still pains me that the management where I used to work, cared more about these vanity metrics than the actual project quality.

Stale bots have huge downsides: 1. It’s disrespectful to users who spent time reporting issues (especially if they invested time in making good reports, reduced test cases…). 2. Users searching for issues won’t find automatically closed issues, and will create more duplicates.

#TIL that Apple has (quietly) added a CLI network monitoring tool in #macOS Monterey: `networkQuality`. Within a few seconds, you can see the results: download and upload capacity and some other details. 🤗

Disney showed (vaguely/weirdly) some future theme park plans, and folks: I am straight up tired of the animation/movies-to-theme-park pipeline. I desperately want creatives to tell NEW stories in the MEDIUM of theme parks. They could, in turn, inspire movies! Please do new things
