Trouble has a way of finding you when you're already running low on strength.
Psalm 9:9 says, "The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble."
A stronghold doesn't ask you to defend yourself first. It holds you exactly as you are.
Getting it all right today was never the boundary you needed. Being honest with God about what's hard is.

I've learned to notice the tightness in my chest before I notice the words coming out of someone's mouth. My body remembers things my mind hasn't caught up to yet.
Learning to trust that signal instead of arguing myself out of it has been slow, holy work.
The Safe Again Devotional has been part of the slowness, in the best way. Learn about the devotional here: thekimsutton.com/safeagainde…
After a professional relationship turns unfair, there's a strong urge to defend yourself in every conversation, to make sure the record gets set straight.
Isaiah 54:17 says, "no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you... this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.
Your vindication was never meant to come from winning the argument. It comes from Him.
Consistency beats intensity in marketing too. A funnel that quietly follows up with every lead does more over time than one big push you can't repeat.
You've wondered if anyone keeps score for the people who were hurt and never got an apology.
But Psalm 103:6 says, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed."
“No weapon forged against you will prevail.” - Isaiah 54:17
Whatever accusation is still ringing in your ears wasn't going to have the last word. God already ruled on this one.

Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
If someone blamed you for the very thing that hurt you, God did not stand back and agree with them. Instead, He moved closer.
The Safe Again Devotional is one small way to sit in that closeness for a few minutes every morning. Learn more here: thekimsutton.com/safeagainde…
A client relationship that requires you to abandon your own limits to keep it isn't partnership. It's a quiet kind of ownership, and you already have an Owner.
1 Corinthians 7:23 says, "You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings."
That price was paid once, fully, by God. It wasn't paid so you could hand yourself back over to whoever asks the loudest. And saying no to a demand that treats you like property isn't disloyalty. It's remembering who actually holds the deed.
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Corinthians 15:58
Your labor isn't wasted, even when no one sees it. The follow-up emails, lead capture, and booking steps behind the scenes should hold that labor up, not drain it. Harvestory Group builds that part: marketing automation and funnels that do the repetitive work for you.
