President David Rausch led the IACP delegation to the European Police Chiefs Convention (EPCC) in The Hague.
Along with First VP Chief Will Johnson and Global Director Vince Hawkes, President Rausch continued to expand the IACP's engagement with policing leaders at this event at Europol Headquarters.
With the support of EUROPOL's Chief of Staff and IACP's World Regional Office Chair, Sebastien Moras, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the structure, expertise and innovation capabilities within Europol.
While in The Hague, President Rausch and VP Johnson, were also invited to participate in a townhall session at the Netherlands Police HQ (@Politie) to discuss the policing challenges facing US law enforcement agencies and how the IACP is positioned to support the profession.
A special acknowledgment goes out to IACP's International VP, Vincent Vleesenbeek who moderated the townhall at his home agency.
How are today's challenges shaping the future of policing and officer wellness? Today, at the Howard Liebengood Foundation (@THEHCLF) Symposium, IACP Deputy Executive Director Terry Cunningham examined the evolving stressors facing law enforcement, including rising violence against officers, mass casualty incidents, and changing public expectations, and discuss their impact on the profession and those who serve.
