How much is Britain spending on the war in Ukraine?
Britain may not be Ukraineās biggest donor ā but it has often been the first.
According to a government factsheet, Britain has committed £25bn to Ukraine.
But not all of that £25bn is military spending.
There is £1.5bn in humanitarian aid programmes, £4.1bn in loan guarantees, and another £3.5bn in export finance: effectively a credit card that allows Ukraine to buy British goods, which it must repay.
Strip those away, and we are left with £16bn in military support, of which £14bn has been allocated.
But some of this money never leaves Britain.
