It may have taken a while, but it’s like coming back from the grave, which is apt! podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcas…

The Corvini Inheritance is an excellent episode, particularly for anyone who grew up admiring David McCallum as Illya Kuryakin in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. as I did. 🕵️‍♀️
Tonight at 9pm. Join #CarolineMunro in THE CELLAR CLUB as she presents a look at female vampires narrated by #OliverReed in THE WORLD OF HAMMER (1994). Then #DavidMcCallum #JanFrancis in HAMMER HOUSE OF MYSTERY & SUSPENSE: THE CORVINI INHERITANCE (1985) #TPTVsubttiles

Writing about the blood curdling beauty of @hammerfilms and the timeless genius of #PeterCushing in today’s @irish_news I can highly recommend the new #HeroesLegendsAndMonsters doc on @SkyArts @NOWTV_It It’s scarily good!

Looking for a recommendation of a low effort horror to watch while collapsed on the sofa tomorrow. Covid may still be getting the better of me, but I can’t waste the opportunity of uninterrupted tv time. Examples from this week so far include Sinister 1 and 2, and Insidious 😅

Aha! Inspiration hits in the form of the Paranormal Activity sequels! Suggestions still very welcome

The house in Insidious (2010) may be haunted, but Patrick Wilson still manages impeccable dental hygiene at all times, and I respect that. Also, I may (still…?!) be sickly, but I spotted the blackboard Easter egg without reading any IMDb trivia. Small victories and all

Based on the sheer coincidence of watching this earlier today, happy birthday to the best cardigan in horror!
Happy Horror Birthday to ETHAN HAWKE, known for his standout roles in SINISTER, THE PURGE, and THE BLACK PHONE, born #onthisday in 1970! 🥳 He has often noted that SINISTER remains one of the most challenging roles of his career due to its dark and intense subject matter.

Well into week 2 of covid and watching Sinister (2012) to cheer myself up(…?) My takeaway so far is sheer admiration for Ellison’s commitment to his house cardigan

If anyone needs me for the next few nights, I will be cowering (still ill, ugh) with my cat under a blanket until the fireworks stop ☹️

Still thinking about The Substance. I see so much of Elisabeth Sparkle in myself and my behaviour towards myself. But of course, that’s the point. Would I take The Substance however? Hell no 🤣 On a movie note, those closing scenes were bloody epic! (Pun intended).

It may be the influence of covid, but I was just riveted by The Exorcist: Believer, and even cried. Twice?! Faith and hope really tugged on ye ‘ol heartstrings. Or it was covid brain. One of the two.

Crawling out of my hole to remind anyone with a Sky record button that @hammerfilms’ Hammer: Heroes, Legends and Monsters is on Sky Arts tomorrow at 2:15am and 9pm. Now I return to my haze of cold/flu-thing and the comfort of A Case For PC 49

Fascinating but scary read. Please note, if/when you see me having a seizure, I am not trying to get you to do this 😧 Linky for seizure first aid: epilepsy.org.uk/info/first-a…

Four Sided Triangle (1953) and Stolen Face (1952) would make an excellent Terence Fisher and classic @hammerfilms double-feature.

My 50th Hammer film since starting to seeking them out was Spaceways (1953)! What neat little mystery. Not too terrible on the science side either! Next up, Stolen Face (1952); an unintentional Terence Fisher double-bill. Hammer watches so far: boxd.it/y5HeM
